scot
Hello everyone, recently I bought the witcher 2 and looks like I can´t play with the graphic configuration with everything enabled, the game runs smoothly and with very good quality I just needed to disable stuff like god rays among other stuff that didn´t seem to change the graphics at all.Well all this got me scared as I bought my computer specially for gaming and it runs both fallout and oblivion with max settings, even both crysis games run really nice, I am, like everyone here eager for skyrim and I´m counting that my computer will handle it perfectly but after seeing that witcher 2 gets slow with everything enabled I started to wonder if skyrim will run nice. My computer settings are this: Processor intel® core2 quad cpu Q6700 @2.66GHz 2.67 GHz Memory ram 4GB Graphic card NVIDIA Geforce ENGT240 (Upgraded last year from a geforce 9600) I do love what I call my super computer X) but with games getting better over time I will have to upgrade it eventually, just hope it´s only in a few years. Thank you for you´r time.
dazzerfong
Since Skyrim's not yet released, we can only speculate. Your CPU's fine (not top of the range, but sufficient for years to come), so is your RAM count (you can add more sticks if you like), but your graphics card is a bit paltry: a GT240 isn't much better than a 9600, I'm afraid. scot
Are you sure?I had to bought a new graphic card as the 9600 was having an error with my computer, making it to hibernate and not responding when I played certain games so I went to fix this problem and the place where I bought the engt240 told me it was better than 9600... I can´t do anything about it now that I find out that I was cheated... EDIT:Went to investigate on the net, seems the only difference is that 9600 Core clock speed is 650 and the engt240 is 550, the rest is the same with engt240 having a very few stuff better than 9600. What is the best graphic card from geforce? Edited May 29, 2011 by scot

Bloodinfested
I would go with the gtx 580 it’s a pretty good single gpu card at a good $, I would at all cost avoid the 400 series they are kind of low end cards. The gtx 590 is the newest 2gpu on the market very good card despite a few ppl that had problems with over clocking it but there is no need at all to over clock a card like that. The card is also very $ so you have to speculate spending that much on a card. Some of the older 2gpu card are still very good cards even today like the gtx 295 but I would try to stick to the newer cards because of the dx 11 will become a more common thing witch the 580 or 590 has. -Also find out how much watts you have for your power supply before you buy somthing you may need to up it for the new video card Edited May 29, 2011 by Bloodinfested

NAPALM13092
We won't know for sure still we get the requirements but if I had to take a guess, no. At least not at any playable fps. Most likely gonna need an upgrade across the board.
