Automatic sprinting: Can't just walk or run

After one of the recent updates in fallout 4, my character automatically sprints.

I don't remember this happening in the past.

This results in a lot of jerky movement. (This is not a video glitch problem.)

The character starts to walk or run, lurches momentarily into and out of sprint mode.

Even with plenty of AP.

When I am moving the character, I want to just run or walk. Sprinting should only happen when I press the appropriate key.

This happened after deleting and re-installing Fallout 4. Both 'vanilla' and with mods.

 

Edit: It seems that after re-installing Fallout 4, the key bindings changed from what I had before. Caps Lock was set to AutoRun. Changing it to another key, seems to have fixed it.

Of all the dumb things Bethesda has done, allowing key assignments to CapsLock, Numlock, Shift , ALT and CTRL is just a bad idea.

Besides assigning multiple things to one key such as Bash/Grenade.
