gaultesian Posted March 20, 2016 Share Posted March 20, 2016 I downloaded the mod via steam, and it did not work, so I deleted it and then downloaded the mod via Nexus (as I had originally did prior to 7.2) and it all worked fine. I seem to have some sort of duality issue: if you update, I have to switch back to the secondary host (either steam or nexus) for the mod to work. A minor inconvenience, but I am OK with that. The new MEC colors are great, and I see you have made it so that we can configure the voices a bit. I wonder if it will work with the English MEC voice pac (they ported the original MEC voice pack from XCOM unknown/EW)? I am downloading it now, so it may be the best proxy for 'mec-like dialogue' for the time being (it disconcerts me to use 'human' voices from the mec...the MEC voice pack may fit the bill). And I love the new MEC color options....I am going for PINK! On another note, can we have weapon upgrades on the mec cannon back? I understand if that is not a priority, but I did like adding an upgrade or two every now and then ;). In addition, if you always want mecs to use a certain voice, you can set this in the ini file with AUTOMATIC_VOICE. can we have weapon upgrades on the mec cannon back?They never worked, so it is not a matter of putting them "back". It turns out that you need both custom artwork and also a little more UC code. I have asked one of the 2D art people to try working on this, so it may be possible in a future release. hunterkiller33 Posted March 20, 2016 Share Posted March 20, 2016 I uninstalled all of my other mods. I had just downloaded the new update on steam, and now when I start up XCOM 2, it either crashed to the desktop when I loaded my current game or showed a red screen error with the menu displayed in Debug mode. After completely uninstalling everything, then re-downloading the mod, I can start a new game without a redscreen error or crash. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
davidlallen Posted March 20, 2016 Author Share Posted March 20, 2016 Several people have reported in the workshop thread that a save with the old mod, cannot be loaded using the new mod. koopakidshyguy Posted March 20, 2016 Share Posted March 20, 2016 Can't go back to my old save, which is alright, didn't have too much time invested in it, but the run and gun perk for berserkers doesn't allow for devastating blow to be used after a double move, making it useless (unless you feel a need to double move and throw a grenade). We are trying to craft some customizable abilities, and plan an overhaul of the tree later. Running into some issues; but I am fully aware some of her skills don't work. gaultesian Posted March 20, 2016 Share Posted March 20, 2016 I downloaded the English MEC mod (from XCOM EW), and it rocks! Marries swimmingly with the look and feel of the Advent MEC. Now that I have had a chance to look under the trunk, I agree that there is no real need to add upgrades to the MEC cannon...it can all be done via the rest of the ini files you have in the mod. One key reason I made it configurable is so that if a number of people all tweak it the same way, I can make that the default. Please share back when you have values you are happy with.
