Using console to trigger an event

Hi guys,

 

I qualified to buy a house in Markarth and the Jarl said so, but I didn't have the money. When I returned, the option was not available in dialog. The Stewart just tells me he's the Jarl's uncle.

 

Is there a console command I can use to trigger the dialog?

Even if they mention you can buy a house, you still have to become Thane first.

Thanks, the bottom of the page had the issue and solution. I did look at how much and decided not to buy, and I was not offered again. I'll try the console command they suggest.

Wow, I'd just read it. :ohmy:

Amazing that If you don't have enough money on you,...you're out of luck unless you use the console. :sad:

 

I've only done a few quests in Markath, so I'm actually glad I know about it now.

Hmm goes back to having a save prior to deciding to become thane or starting a guild quest.. as with all holds make a save before you want to become thane or guild member. Council commands are a last resort yeah they work but can cause issues down the road.
