Very well written article Robin. I liked what you said and you said it well. I don't play on console, nor do I have Fallout so I was a bit confused in the beginning by everything I read here on the forum (and appalled to be honest by some people's responses and their suggestions on how to deal with these thieves) Shocking to realise how laid back Bethesda is in this matter and how they intend to 'deal' with mod theft. That is all the more reason why I am glad to be part of this community. At least here, your voice is heard. I am really happy for console gamers that they are finally able to mod their game. But not when it is done by resorting to theft.

Wow, complicated stuff but the more I read your explanation, the more it begins to make sense. (I am currently following Nightasy's tutorials so most of this stuff is double Dutch) And thank you for explaining the difference between XPMSE and XP32. I never quite understood it untill now. Am I therefore right in assuming that if a mod requires XP32, you can safely install XPMSE instead?

Hi Geone Noob here myself in 3D modeling, but if you are looking for a good 3ds Max tutorial, I would definitely suggest Nightasy's Youtube channel. The tutorials are on Skyrim modeling and well worth watching (and following along: step by step) If you do have Skyrim installed on your pc, I would definitely start with his playlist and once you get the hang of it, you may be able to give Fallout 4 a try? :thumbsup: You're in luck. Just took a look at the Nightasy channel as I remembered he had another Youtube channel called Brainpoof. And he covers Fallout modding there with Maya :dance: Here you go: Good luck!

Forgive me for being a noob, but if the problem is on 'the Nexus site', how come not all of us are experiencing this redirect? Some are, but not everyone. This site has millions of members. There would have been a ton load of complaints by now. I don't have ad-block on, I see the normal ads one would expect, I am not being redirected to a fake flash update site.
