Missing meshes with body replacers!

I just tried installing the Skinny 6 body replacer, and all I keep getting is a red and white mesh where the body should be! I've tried installing it manually, I've tried installing through FOMM, and nothing's working the way it's supposed to! What am I doing wrong?

I read the readme, but it might as well be written in Greek! Can anyone help? I'm being driven up a wall here!

It also doesn't even matter if I'm loading a previous save or starting a new game. I still keep getting those red diamonds with white exclamation points in them!

Why did Bethesda have to go and screw up the way they packed all the meshes and textures? Oblivion is much more user-friendly than this! >:(

Red ! means you are missing a mesh, it has nothing to do with how the game makers packed anything. Either you or the mod maker have set up the body in the wrong place, I do not use Skinny so I can not tell you where to install it... but I suggest you make sure you put the body in the right spot.

How is the mod set up? With .bsa or folders?

I also had Anthony Ling's Coiffure active in my load list, and disabled the body replacer to rule it out. Turns out the problem was the hair mod.

Both mods were set up in folders. (The fact that Bethesda put the vanilla meshes and textures in BSAs really screws things up for those of us used to dealing with folders!)

Ahhh this is because Lings/mostracemods edit the races, if the body replacer you use has a .esp and edits the same races they will tend to conflict. Easy way to fix this would be to open up Lings and direct the body meshes/textures to your new ones.

Or load the body replacer after Lings, and make a bash patch (or somthing simlar).

If your body replacer does not have a .esp then you will need to do the first suggestion of directing to the right meshes in geck.
