Well it's not.It sucks!!!

Blood magic is not even worth learning!!!

Its pathetic!!!

And EVERYBODY in the game is so afraid of the blood mages.Why?

 

 

Can we please have mod that inhances blood magic so it would be really

horrible???May be add some more spells??

It is because blood mages rarely use the main techniques of this branch of techniques. Now imagine playing in nightmarish mode with blood wizards using skills like wound bleeding or blood control? Surely they would be more complicated to be defeated. Now I think it would be more coherent if the blood spell increased the spell power of the wizards (since they are using life energy rather than mana), that would be more interesting since in the history of the game they are quite feared. I was told that it increases but I have already done dragon acts more than 2 times and for me it seemed normal.

I always thought that Blood Magic should have a secondary line of powers involving summoning demons and the like. It would require sacrificing your companions. Maybe to make it worth it, you could summon 2 or 3 demons for every sacrificed companion, or sacrifice all of them to summon a Pride demon. That sort of thing. It would have to be pretty powerful to justify straight-out killing your companions in the middle of a fight.

 

The Blood Magic powers should have upgrades. Like Blood Wound would have an upgrade that lets you make everyone affected pass out- like what Jowan did in the Mage Origin.

 

Sacrifice would have the effect of a temporary "blood wound" aura for 30 seconds after use, or something. Or instead, crazy high (nearly-instant) health regeneration for the next 90 seconds.

 

Blood Control's upgrade would make it into an AoE that makes all the victims fight each other. That fits into the lore nicely tbh, I can think of at least 2 stories from canon about blood mages doing that to enemies and templars. BUT it would have a downside- as soon as the spell wears off, everyone affected goes FULL AGGRO right at the blood mage, with no way to shake them off even with spells.

 

Also, I feel like the actual Blood Magic mode should get more powerful (1 health provides more mana) as you level up. Either tied to Magic+Con stats, or how many Blood Magic spells you've taken. It seems like BS that blood mages in cutscenes seem to be super-duper powered, but actual blood mages in combat are always riding the line of death. And I agree with Thanos1994, Blood Magic should basically double as "spell might" by making your spells stronger.

 

 

 

This s*** plus better AI would make for incredibly challenging blood magic fights. There would need to be serious consequences for using it, though- companions leaving, templars showing up to the epilogue, nightmares about demons coming to possess your sorry ass, getting ambushed by templars on the road, that sort of thing.
