hejpadig
My computer has 4GB RAM. But I have 32-bit Vista. Which means the system only recognizes around 3.2GB. The question is, will the game run smoothly if you have the other recommended requirements? I have the same but with windows 7, gothic 4 requires 4 GB RAM, and I can play it on ultra settings and the game runs smoothly.Wait until you try skyrim if you need more RAM you need to upgrade to a 64-bit system and then get more RAM for your computer.Forget about it. Skyrim isn't a 64bit application and can't possibly even use more than 4GB no matter what kind of setup you have anyway. While running vanilla Skyrim you'll probably see very little if any benefit what so ever on a 64bit os and 4GB+ system compared to 32bit and 4GB. Yeah man, thanks. I'm just overthinking the whole thing.

Yes indeed, you should be able to run it smoothly @ 1080p even with texture mods down the road...

BareFootScholar
Intel Core i7 CPU Q 840 @ 1.87GHz, 1863 Mhz, 4 Cores, 8 Logic 4.0gb ram, Nvidia Geforce GTX 260mDirectX 11.0 (Although other sources have told me I am using version 10?)Video RAM 2.7 GB So would it be possible to bump these specs up somehow? Could I get better parts built into it, or do I need to get a new computer? This is a laptop by the way.

As far as I know, you can only improve your RAM and HDD on notebooks; and your RAM is good enough.I'm certainly not an expert on notebooks though, so I might be wrong. VBlackfang
EDIT - So it's my video card that is inadequate? I wouldn't call it inadequate. It's slightly below recommended, but for a notebook it's still good. And yes, all the other parts of your config at least meet the recommended. Ategro
Hi, I'm new here. Before I really start positing on the forums I want to be ensured that I can actually run the game... I do possess -some- knowledge of computer hardware but not enough to draw a proper conclusion. Will this work, and if so, on which settings (running on a 1920*1080 monitor). And can I use all of my RAM?
