I was and still am pissed, annoyed and tired...So the thing is, I entered Benirus Manor, done the quest to a stage where I kill all the ghosts and find skeletal hand a note(though I don't think it matters) so I go outside; crash! after three attempts, crash! I tried entering via vanilla Oblivion exe instead of OBSE, still nothing, I used an emergency teleport mod to teleport myself outside bravil, went back to bravil, crash, did the same thing but waited for almost 24 hours, same thing, crash. I tried entering another cell then going to bravil, tried disabling a couple of mods, still nothing, a goddamn crash :( T My Oblivion is quite modded, but I don't see how that could have been a result of a conflict when I was in the town of Anvil moments before. My mods also worked quite well. It's completely unlogical but then again I don't understand how Oblivion's engine works. So PLEASE, if you have suggestions/fixes/workarounds or simply had a similar experience, share. What do you think could have caused this? I recently installed unique landscapes compilation but I don't think that affects cities...It might not be related to mod conflict at all. Any ideas? I can disable them all though that would instantly result in a crash I'm sure...since mods are so embed in my save game. Anyway I had Unique landscape compilation but I disabled it just before trying to enter Anvil for the last time. I figure it doesn't matter since UL doesn't affect cities, but I'll try anyway, since I also saw minor incompatibilities while traveling the wilds. Just now I noticed Oblivion cats...that might affect cities, I'm going to try to disable that now. Btw, thanks. omeletted Posted June 1, 2011 Share Posted June 1, 2011 Quite a lot of unfamiliar mods, but nothing in particular jumps out at me except Blood & Mud. It modifies Bravil so might have something to do with your crash, conflict with another mod maybe. Also, you might want to consider disabling DRSplatter.esp, it's known to cause CTD's. Anyway you've been of MASSIVE help, you gave me the idea of culprit elimination so Instead of doing it one by one, I will do it kinda backwards, I went and disabled all mods that effect city and now I managed to enter anvil ;) now I'll enable them one by one until I find the culprit, hopefully it isn't one of the bigger/better mods. Edit: Cheydinhal Petshop, probably should drop this. Apparently it has a serious bug that can permanently mess up dialogue with NPC's. I do it after every mod I install ;) Thanks for the advice, I will disable cheydinhal petshop too, I know it has issues with ground textures but NPC dialogues, that's bad.
