PoppaSmirk
Diamond City has a school for the children. I want to put a school in Sanctuary Hills too (and a few other settlements); of course I need to have children that would attend the school too. Like the Vendor stalls, except the furniture icon would be a desk. When a settler is assigned as Teacher, they go to the desk and sit during school hours (like 4 hours a day). In my head I can imagine that if the settlement has children and a teacher, then they would need a script that would make them go to a nearby area around where the Teachers desk is placed, sit in a chair if nearby, or sit on the floor ,etc.... for the hours of school. Then for the rest of the day the children go back to whatever other...thing...they do. Most children in-game seem to be farmers, except in Diamond City. Ideally I'd love to see a small schoolroom for the following: Sanctuary Hills Spectacle Island County Crossing Star-Lite City (yes I know, the 'city' part is my addition) Fun idea? yes, or no? ThoraldGM
Idk about schools, but I'd like to restore the drive-in and diner. That would result in needing more NPCs. I don't recall the names of the schools, but there are several the raiders are squatting in.
PoliteRaider
I don't recall the names of the schools, but there are several the raiders are squatting in. DB Technical highschool. There's another one but that's Gunners rather than raiders so I don't know it off the top of my head.
PoppaSmirk
I really love the idea of fully (or at least more completely) restoring the Star-Light Drive In, but the land for me at least is too valuable as my central Hub Settlement. Plus, as good as it would look fully restored, we have no cars to take to the Drive-In :( And I actually don't want to take over the existing schools in the Commonwealth, I want a MOD that will allow me to have a Teacher (in a small schoolhouse I could build myself in my settlements). Basically, I want to crush all the claims to fame that Diamond City says it has. lol... I have purified water, safety behind the walls, a Doctor, vendors. Now all I need is a Teacher and Diamond City got nothing on me. =grin=
Gruffydd
I put in a schoolroom with the school desk objects in it. I wasn't expecting much, it was just there for decoration. When I went by, the one child in my settlement was sitting in one of the desks. Apparently they are attracted to them during "school hours".It would be nice to be able to assign an adult settler as a teacher for such a room.
