Delphine won't follow me into the attic room

I am up to the part in the main quest where you meet Delphine at her inn for the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. I can initiate the conversation with Delphine, but she refuses to follow me into the attic room. I've tried using console commands to progress the main quest, but that has not worked. Here is my load order:

I know the basics of modding and how to clean files, but i'm absolutely unsure of what to do. I'm going to try validating game files on Steam and see if that will fix the issue, and I'll make sure to close the thread if that fixes the issue.

Try opening console and click her. Then type "moveto player" without quotes into the console. This will teleport her to you so make sure you are in the attic room.

I know there's no attic room. She doesn't follow me into the side room.

Just curious--what is your timescale setting ? It's a long shot but I've heard of weirdness associated with super low (e.g. 0-5) timescale.

Something to do with game variables not being met, perhaps? Kind of an issue with this quest. There's more checks than simply buying the room and walking in there, I believe.

 

I always have my follower wait in the main room, enter the rented room, close the door, and sleep for an hour.

this aint really doin anything (i have the same problem) tried every command that could possibly help and if i teleport her she walks back to her annoying as f*#@ spot outside her room

I had the same problem, and teleporting her to me inside the room worked. Thanks a tonne gardyanakbar!

Using the console to advance in a quest should only been used as a last resort.

 

I notice two things when going through the loadorder.

 

1. Are you using Wrye Bash? If so where is the bashed patch as I don't see it.

2. I dunno how it's now, but I've never get UFO to work properly instead I use AFT and haven't had a single issue with Delphine since the first day I started to use AFT.

That's correct. The player need to pick the correct question when asking for renting a room.
