Musical Instruments

Hi, as a musician I'd be delighted if my character in Skyrim was able to play an instrument.

I'd opt for Bagpipes, they have an epic sound, plus I play myself.

What does everyone else think?

No-one else fancy being a Apprentic Bard at the Tamriel-famous Bard's College?

Lutes would be nice (which I think are already in), as would bagpipes, horns of some sort - possibly trumpets? Drums, too...and flutes...and...

I wouldn't mind a lute. I'd be massacring all of the horn instrument players, if they were in the game. No offense, in an orchestra, O.K., but by themselves, no.

To be honest, I'm not big on instruments in a series like TES. I wouldn't mind them, but at the same time I don't think there really necessary, and would rather see resources put in other aspects.

Charging a Dragon in a full sprint while playing Amazing Grace on bagpipes with a claymore slung over my shoulder would be the apex of gaming.

Yeah but that means ABSOLUTELY everything else will suck in comparison. :wallbash:

Maybe a Electromagic Guitar? Something like that would totally convince me to play as a mage. Screw staffs and wands, I've got a Strato-Caster! And for the barbarian in all of us, it could even double as an Axe! I could play as sweet sweet lick and put all of the harlot women-types under my charm spell. It's got a neck of dragon bones, a body of dragon scales, strings of dragon guts, and pickups of crystallized awesome.

Then again, that's would totally kill the immersion factor. I mean, this is Skyrim, not Fable Four. :hurr:

Hahahaha? Charging a Dragon while playing Amazing Grace on the bagpipes while carrying a claymore? BLOODY HELL YEAH SIGN ME UP!

On a more serious note I'd absolutely love this, and how about an Ocarina too? for shear nostaliga's sake. Lutes would be nice, I'd really like a Violin/Viola(my all time instrument of choice, even when I'm swinging around a skull-shaped Electric Guitar) and lastly, I'd like a Vuvuzela! The Vuvuzela should be implemented actualy as a weapon rather than as a musical instrument because it has absolutely no capacity for any sort of melody or pleasurable sound. Made insamous due to it's popularity in the Soccer World Cup last year, the Vuvuzela enfuriated many fans with the fact that when half the crowd had one, the monotone droning noise was absolutely deafening. It does not have any capacitry to make diferent notes, it just goes BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ incredibly, astonishingly loudly, tormenting those nearby into insanity and suicide. Lemmings leap of cliffs to escape the Vuvuzela!
