TheDrunkenMudcrab
Hello, I am TheDrunkenMudcrab! I am making a companion mod named "Old Man Jenkins", which will be a fully-voiced companion mod featuring a crazy old Irish man with a combat shotgun, mohawk, and slick Authority Sunglasses. This character is a homage to Old Man Henderson, a Call of Cthulu story. Anyway, the mod will only have one major retexture: A solid gold Garden Gnome, which is the focus of the main quest for this character. I have no skills whatsoever editing objects, so if any of you out there could create a Solid Gold version of the Intact Garden Gnome object in Fallout: New Vegas, it'd really save me. I hope to release this mod before Saint Patricks day, so speediness is key! Thank you Nexus! ^-^ Anyone who does this may have the option of being credited in the mod description, in addition to having the option to appear as one of the named lawn gnomes ingame. Jokerine
How does this look? I tried to make it shiny. http://i.imgur.com/6oB1jiX.png If you like it, download it here and set up the texture paths in Nifskope. Good luck :)
TheDrunkenMudcrab
That looks freaking amazing! :D

TheDrunkenMudcrab
Oh, also (Flood): Couldn't I just TESsnip this into it, with the texture paths intact?
Jokerine
No. The mesh needs to have the texture paths set properly in Nifskope, as I said, and then has to be added as a new misc item in the GECK. I'm not sure why you'd use TESsnip for this, considering it's just the mesh and textures with no esp file. But then again I'm not very familiar with that program. TheDrunkenMudcrab
Because you included an .esp file in the download? Edit: TheDrunkenMudcrab cannot read. Oops.Anyway, I'll open up nifscope and figure it out. Actually never used the program before. Edit: Again, thank you for making that. ^-^ Edited March 14, 2016 by TheDrunkenMudcrab
Jokerine
Good luck. There's a tutorial here, but if you can't figure it out, I'll be uploading a tutorial that has instructions for this tomorrow :)
TheDrunkenMudcrab
Thank you. ^-^ I'll be releasing the mod soon- do you wish to be featured prominently as a named Gnome within the mod? You will get credit for your work either way.
Jokerine
Well, for anybody interested in a tutorial for setting custom texture paths in NifSkope, I uploaded a tutorial for it here just now. And a mention in the credits will do just fine, no worries about it. My name is too not-lore-friendly to be featured in a mod, haha! Good luck! :)
