Export error...non-UV texture? Huh...?

"NifExportError: Non-UV texture in mesh '(meshname)', material '(material name)'. Either delete all non-UV textures, or in the Shading Panel, under Material Buttons, set texture 'Map Input' to 'UV'."

I'm confused by this because...Map Input IS set to UV! (I watched LHammonds' tutorial about fifty times to make it sink in) I've Googled this problem I don't know how many times and nothing ever points to this error directly. I get a lot of helpful tutorials about just what UV is and how to texture your mesh, but none about this particular error or why I might be getting it.

Does anyone have any inkling about why I might still be getting this error after I did exactly what Blender told me to do? :)

I suspect you have more than one material. Look at each object in the Editing (F9) / Link and Materials panel, and see if you have anything other than the "1 Mat 1" assigned to the object. If you see something like "2 Mat 2" or anything more than 1, you need to delete the extra material(s).

Another way to spot extra materials is in the Material (F5) / Links and Pipeline panel to see if any extra materials show up there.

Yet another way to see materials in changing the 3D view window type to "Outliner" and click on the menu "View" --> "Show Oops Schematic" or "Show Outliner" which will make all objects in the scene easily visible.

Ah, okay...thanks to your help (with some googling and improvising), I managed to do it! Er...sort of. I just exported the pieces individually and reassembled it in NifSkope. But your diagram was invaluable in seeing the junk in my project vs. what actually needed to be there.

Now I have another problem, but...I'll ask it elsewhere. Thank you so much! :)
