Auto Scrapper for Weapons and Armor

Just drop all those pipe pistols and raider armors (or whatever items you always scrap) into a container of some sort and the corresponding scrap ends up in your workshop. Just be careful what you drop in because once you close that transfer dialogue there is no getting it back. The goal is to make this easier than scraping each item one at a time at armor/weapon workbenches, and easier than dropping items on the ground and then trying to find them all...

 

Could this be build into the Scavenger Station?

I´m tired of handscrapping all those junk and usable items too! :)

I like to keep only basic materials in my workshop. It would be great to have a build option to extend

the workbench. Some kind of machine on top of the basic workbench where you can put all those

items you want to scrap. Then hit a button and the machine scraps those items and puts the basic

materials into the workbench. Another idea for this whole workbench stuff is to build a drone station

near the workbench. Build 2 drone stations in 2 settlements and you have a trading connection instead

of using the old method with settlers that can get pretty tedious the more settlements you have.

 

But hey. Maybe we see much more of this stuff once the CK is released.

Ohhh, and this could actually allow you to scrap unused clothing without needing an armor bench mod!

 

I've been itching for a way to get at all that hidden leather and fabric.

I was looking for this kind of mod as well. Well the mod could scrap weapons and armour right in the inventory and then simply transfer scrap to the workbench.

I have a mod called scrapotron 3000 or something that scraps junk items into components

Ill try loading in a bunch of weapons and armor and stuff when i play tomorrow and see if it works, and get back to you here on this forum with a link and stuff if it does
