JamieSynn
So while playing i noticed an NPC that had a face structure I really liked. I was wondering if anyone could help me in figuring out how to get the NPC's face on my character, and maybe even make it a preset? Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. The NPC In Question:http://orig06.deviantart.net/1a37/f/2016/076/5/1/screenshot92_by_midnight_magica-d9vh8n1.png When i open the console and click him, it gives the ID: 001393BFI'm not sure if that's just a general ID code for all Westside Residents or if each one has their own. madmongo
001393BF is a generic leveled NPC. The actual NPC that ends up with that ID is random. If you look through the list of possible choices, that particular one traces back to VOVNorthDwellerCMy. You can make a character preset of this fairly easily. Open up the GECK and select VOVNorthDwellerCMy from the NPC list. This particular NPC is a caucasian male, so open up one of the caucasian male presets like CGPresetCaucasianM10 and change its ID to something unique like CGPresetMyCharacter. Now that you have both NPCs open (you did leave the first one open, didn't you? If not, now would be a good time to re-open it), go to the Face Advanced tab for both NPCs. Press COPY on the VOVNorthDwellerCMy and PASTE on your new CGPresetMyCharacter. Go to the Head Part tab and add or remove parts from your CGPresetMyCharacter until it matches what is on VOVNorthDwellerCMy. And finally, go to the Face tab and change the hair values until the color matches. Then close both forms. The GECK should prompt you to save the changes to CGPresetMyCharacter. Now save your mod, activate it like any other mod, and your new face should be available somewhere in the presets for the caucasian male race. Edited post to add this: When you Copy and Paste, there's a bug in the GECK in that it won't copy whatever you have selected in the Face Advanced window. So Copy and Paste, then select something else in the Face Advanced window (it doesn't matter what you select, just something other than what you originally had selected), and Paste again. By default it selects Brow Ridge hi/low, so select something else like Cheeks round/gaunt. It doesn't matter what you select as long as you change it to something other than Brow Ridge hi/low, then hit Paste again. Stupid GECK.
