Aria C
I'm trying to set up a crowded market, What I would like to do is play a .wav of background noise such as people talking and then play a .mp3 of a salesman hawking his wares over top. So far all I have managed to do is to play one or the other and this I could work with except for the cooldown time. What I am experiencing is say the crowd talks for 20 or 30 seconds then there is 20 to 30 seconds of silence before the salesman kicks in and then after his 50 seconds are up there is 50 seconds of silence before the crowd starts again. Is there a way to script these so that the one plays over top of the other or so that one starts immediately after the first?
Hickory
My first avenue would be to study the Arena announcer's script (ArenaAnnouncerScript), which seems to go in the direction you want.

Did you try to play the market sounds as the background music? Better using the OBSE plugin http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16288 The rest can simply be scripted through playsound commands no?
