Mistimed Conversations?

Did you ever overhear a conversation that either:

 

a)made absolutely no sense, or

b)was ironically mistimed?

 

If so, what was it?

 

I overheard on in Chorrol, between a guard and some woman.

 

Guard: I heard that so-and-so has a bosmer for a wife. But then again, it's really none of my business

NPC: I've heard others say the same.

 

In Cheydinhal, overhearing a 'conversation' between the Court Mage and teh drunk guy:

 

Drunk Guy: How are you today?

Castle Mage: Ok, and you?

Drunk Guy : *cue high-pitched song*

 

In the IC, overhearing a man tell his wife

 

"If i'm not speaking to you, it's because i don't like you.' (or something to that effect.)

 

The conversation below isn't really inappropraitedly worded, but their expressions are.

 

IC Guard: Did you hear? Anvil's Priests and Priestesses! Slaughtered!

Woman: (shouts)No!

IC Guard: Be seeing you.

Woman: (normally)You too.

 

After being killed by a Mythic Dawn Agent, said to me:

 

'May you rest in peace.'(Then why kill me??)

 

Random Mage in Skingrad, said to me, that i had never met.

 

'I'm so happy to see you, i could just burst!!' (No wait.. it was Cheydinhal, said to me by Eilonwye.)

A priest talking to a man in the chapel about books recently received at the book store, said, "He did? Excellent. I wonder if he got "The Lusty Argonian Maid" in. I've been dying to read that."

Valis Odill from Chorrol tells you that he needs a drink after informing you that his sons went to fight off the creatures at the farm, then leaves the Grey Mare, which is a bar.

 

Orgnolf Hairl-Legs from Castle Chorrol during the "Cancas the Castle" Quest tells you that he has a lot of work to do, then he goes to sleep.

[Karasuman]

The Gray Prince: "Hello friend! I don't believe I've seen you here in the Bloodworks before! Allow me to introduce myself, etc..."

 

5 seconds later, during the same conversation,

 

The Gray Prince: "I know who you are of course, and I know why you're here."

 

 

 

Ulrich Leland, to a fellow Cheydinhal guard: "I don't know you, and I don't care to know you!"

 

They could've at least altered his dialogue when addressing other guards lol On a sidenote, one of the most humorous events in the game is when Ulrich is surrounded by a bunch of other people and he turns around in a circle saying that crap to each one of them. It makes him look like a total douche.

'Feel free to rest up here, friend' or something to that effect.

His wife to me:

'Get out of here!'

'I think you should leave.'

its not a mistimed coversation, but i think it is funnily mistimed anyway. All of the guards are asleep with their chainmail greaves and chainmail boots on except one. He is sleeping peacefully with an apron and sandals on and i think...yes i think i saw a little bit of drool and a smirk on his face. ;D

one day i decide to take a dARK brotherhood murderer with me...the archer because i like archers. I tell him to be stealthy and i go into the cave where you find the necromancer's amulet. I am sneaking up on Caranya, and guess what happens. My stupid murderer gets up out of sneak mode and starts having a conversation with one of the mages in the cave. Enemy mages-i might add. He is still chameleoned out and everything. I was invisibible at the time and was wondering why people kept looking at me as i passed by them. Once this occured, i realized that he was merely chameleoned. If birds of a feather flock together, why did they not attack this guy who was clearly in cahoots with me? [this ? is merely rhetorical but i felt that it must be asked] lol

All of the mages in Fort Ontus are neutral to the player until he/she confronts Caranya. Even if the player kills them after this point, (unless they attack you first), you

will have committed murder. You can walk right into the place without a problem. In fact you can loot the whole place without any reactions from anyone before meeting Caranya. Your murderer friend was just doing what you could have done. Walked right in.
