antonkr
From Bohemia Interactive HQ comes the news that ArmA 2 Play For Free is coming. Now you might think why, and how do they release the game that usually costs around 40 dollars and give it for free? Well the ArmA 2 play for free is a version of ArmA 2 which simply does not have the campaign, it has lower quality graphics, and does not support mods, HOWEVER you still get the mission editor the armory with over 300 weapons and vehicles and the multiplayer to try the game for yourself. It is coming later this month so if you are interested in a milsim and just wasn't sure it is right for you should try it out. http://www.arma2.com/free
Yoshh
At least the people who bought it have better graphics. That seems to be important these days. I might try this too :D
Halororor
What's the difference between this and America's Army? AA3 is free on Steam, I just haven't installed it yet.
antonkr
What's the difference between this and America's Army? AA3 is free on Steam, I just haven't installed it yet.ArmA 2 is far more realistic actually and since it was not endorsed by US it has far more variables of things you can do like playing for opposition force, driving vehicles, aircraft (aircraft not too realistic which is kinda the bad part) ArmA 2 is based on an engine that is actually made and used by armies all over the world. Although you won't be playing the actual simulator you are the closest you can get to realism without being in actual military. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_Virtuality_(engine)
