suzypike
Hello Everyone- I just bought Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition.I'm planning on playing through the game without most mods, since I've never played it before but I do want some cosmetic mods.I was planning on installing JBTextures and then face/hair/body mods. I've modded Morrowind and Oblivion so I'm not a total newbie, but in DA I'm having a hard time chosing face and hair mods. I am looking for quality, not necessarily quantity. For example I'd rather have 10 new nice faces and hairstyles than 100 different colors. I've browsed through the files, and my usual strategy is to choose things with a lot of endorsements. However the mods that come up don't seem to be exactly what I'm looking for. In Morrowind I used a compilation mod I think called better heads. In Oblivion I like the REN stuff.Any suggestions? I would like suggestions for hair/face and body mods and any other mods that make the game look better without changing the gameplay. Thanks! I am looking forward to reading through these boards.suzy
Thandal
Welcome, suzypike! Here's a couple of links to get you started: "Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies"An overview for those who are new to Dragon Age. "Good Mods - Opinions"The lists found here are a little out of date now, but not too bad. There are several different perspectives on mods for the game, and the folk writing them often provided a short desctiption and/or their reasoning, along with and the titles, (if not direct links.) Almost all of the mods that anyone uses can be found either here on the Nexuis, or on the BioWare Social Network (BSN) "Project" pages. Links to both areas are at the end of the Wiki article. Happy Modded Gaming!
suzypike
Thanks! I will definitely check those out. I started a purely vanilla game today and was pleasantly surprised. It's nice the way it is. But I love creating characters- sadly my favorite part of any RPG and so I'll want some variety if I can get it. I'm off to check those links. Thanks again. :)suzy
