  1. Very interesting build- should be fun! I would've played as a Wood Elf or a Khajit but I'm sure you have your reasons. I would lose the acrobatics because it is very very easy to build without any help- just jump down flights of steps, over rocks erc. As you travel. I've always been able to max it out quickly with no extra help. Those magic skills are a whole other story. You'll need all the help you can get with them- especially if you are a role-player. Have fun! Suzy
  2. You're welcome! If you mod the heck out of it, it is just as beautiful as Oblivion, but with much much more diversity and a richer storyline- the best of both worlds. Suzy
  3. I bought a new copy of Morrowind (had never been opened) from Amazon. I don't know if this would be considered secondhand- but it was brand new and still sealed in the box. Also, it was GOTY Edition and so had the patches and expansions that are very necessary for many many of the best mods. Just something to consider- Have fun! I LOVE Morrowind! Suzy
  4. I check it occasionally, but I am low, low LOW on the trouble-shooting totem pole! :)
  5. This is just my opinion, but honestly what I think is that the expansions are worth the money just in the variety of the mods that they enable you to use. Even if you never ever use the expansions themselves, they are well worth whatever the cost because they remove the limits on the mods you are able to use. I have the GOTY Edition, so I'm not sure-- but can't you just download the expansions somewhere? Or you used to be able to get the GOTY Edition very cheaply on Amazon--
  6. I strongly recommend it! I still believe it is the best Elder Scrolls game so far. It has a richness in the gameplay that the others just haven't been able to reach for me. Just mod the heck out of it to improve the graphics and enjoy!
  7. Thanks so much! I am still playing Morrowind and because of the variety of mods it has never gotten old. This source is greatly appreciated!
  8. For your first 2 questions, it's pretty much personal preference. What I did when I first started playing is --started a new game about 50 times with all kinds of different characters to see what I would like. My personal preference is to play as a Wood Elf or a Kahjit with skills being Sneak, Spear, Marksman, Light Armor, and Illusion. Spear doesn't seem to go with all that, but I like being able to attack from further away. Minors I can think of are Alteration (for water walking and breathing and other cool stuff), Block, Security- again, I pick what I like. For starting equipment, steal everything not nailed down in the empty room right before you leave the office, then give Brallion his ring to get the store keepers disposition up, and get armor (I get chitin) a restore health scroll or potion, and a good weapon. I always take the silt strider directly to Balmora, go see Cassius and the Blades trainers. If you talk to them, they will each give you something you can sell for a little extra $$. I also start raiding smugglers caves ASAP. This serves 2 purposes (3 really). It helps you work on your skills, gives you loot to sell, and it's fun. Tip: save before entering! Sorry for spelling and errors. My IPad is not very forum friendly. Have fun and explore! ;)
  9. Something similar happened to me once- after a reinstall also. This was my low-tech solution: I added a mod that added faces and eyes. I don't remember exactly what it was, just that it added faces and also added pretty eyes and that fixed it. Someone else might have a far better solution than my work-around though.
  10. I still play both Morrowind and Oblivion. They are awesome! I wouldn't play Morrowind without Healthy Passive Wildlife tho.
  11. I am deathly afraid of vampires. They seriously creep me out. :yucky: That said, I ran into a random fort or cave (I don't remember which) in the middle of nowhere, somewhere north of Balmora, rounded a bend and realized I was in a vampire cave. I ran like the devil and made it outside, where (thankfully) it was daytime. Because I was still spazzing from the vampire I ran up the road a ways before I calmed down. After I started walking this random woman runs past me and not too far behind her there was a man chasing her. I shot the guy with my bow and when I walked up and clicked on his body it said "Vampire Sorcerer" In the daytime? Really? WTF!!! suzy
  12. I checked out your link. It says it varies the amount of gold merchants have, which is cool. I didn't see anything about the merchants inventory changing though. I may have just overlooked it since I'm trying to look at it on my phone. It's just not at all realistic for merchants to always have the exact same inventory plus everything you've ever sold them. I even bought Meldor in balmora out to force his to change just to come back to find the same stupid stuff.
  13. I have Piratelord's Trade Enhancements. The main reason that I got it is because I hate merchants having exactly the same thing every time I visit- I thought the merchandise turnover was a great idea. So far however, that just isn't happening. I go from merchant to merchant and they always have the same inventory. PTE is 3rd from the bottom of my mod list. The only mods that load after it are Antares Big Mod and my Mashed Lists. Wrye Bash says everything is working correctly and I even tried moving PTE below Antares Big Mod for a while, but it made no difference. I also did a new Mashed Lists- no change. Any suggestions? Can I make all of the inventories respawn somehow- maybe using Wrye Mash? Help! Thanks! suzy
  14. Get a map marker mod and then hit every bandit/marauder cave and fort there. Kill some bad guys! :D suzy I also like the little extra quests that are all around like Cropsford, When the Vow Breaks, and Mazoga/ Black Bows quests.
  15. Now that you mention it.... I downloaded that once and couldn't get it to work. That was before I had all the cool tools that I have now. Hmmmmmm.... :whistling: (..if there is a new thread later called "Help with Tamriel Rebuilt" you'll know it is all AurianaValorial's fault...) suzy
