Monesl
Hi everyone, i'm new here but im enjoying nexus works from long time, and this is definetely a good occasion to thanks this community for the countless hours of fun they gave me with their mods. Now, here's my problem. Yesterday everything was working just fine, i have around 30 or 40 mods installed, mainly texture replacer, weapons, etc.Today, i saw this new DLC, but i didn't buy it, and i didn't see any update on F4. Now when i launch the game, it insta crash after i click on "play", F4 stopped working error. I tried to disable all my mods, but still, insta crash. I looked around a bit here and on steam, but the only peoples having problem, are people who actually bought and installed the DLC, wich i didn't. What can i try to do? Edit. I deleted the .ini files, nothing changes, crash at start. Edit2. I verified local files on steam. Mod are all uninstalled. Game still crashes at start :( Edited March 24, 2016 by Monesl
Riverhead85
I had the exact same problem. Disabling the mods via nexus mod manager didn't work either. So I went to my "data" folder and I moved all the mods to a new folder on my desktop and the game worked again. I will now restore the mods one by one to try to find what caused it. Maybe this can work for you as well. Try putting every esm and esp file in a folder except fallout4.esm and the dlcrobot.esm.
Royhr
Just disabling mods in NMM doesn't always work. You generally have to uninstall/delete the mods. In the mod window right click a mod and uninstall/delete and then select the action you want to do.
Wimsuet
Nice to see I'm not alone on this issue, did you find a fix yet? So far even after trying everything it still crashes at start for me, Bethesda had to have pushed out some update that broke things
