NoneOfThose
as for me, settlement management is pretty cool part of gameplay. But one thing just piss me off: just i leave a settlement it's happiness inevitable starts to drain. 200+ defencess, 25+ food, 30+ water, shops, traderoads, decorations (for 16-23 settlers settlements) , i give them all i can do - but if I go to the corner they all just starting to cry! I cannot and i dont want to babysit those crybabys. I have wastelands to explore, quests to do, etc! Please, could someone make a mod to switch off this dependence of settlement happyness from player absence?
Ethreon
Decorations have 0 importance for happiness. All it matters is that they have water, food, beds and defense. For 100 happiness, you'd have to have 16 surgery centers or bars (lvl 3, as that's the only one that matters).

You know, finding a tutorial "how to make the steam achievement and forget the settlement building foreva in Fallout 4" is not hard to find.But:1. building dozens of med's is unrealistic, lore unfriendly, and just not funny.2. you need to stay in the settlement to make the cheat work. And as I said before, i'm intended to NOT to do so.So, your commentary is useless. Have a nice day, mister.
Ethreon
Wiki has plenty of tutorials on how to make the people be happy. Instead of being pointlessly sarcastic, you could accept the explanations you're given. Btw, look up cheat. I don't think you understand it. NoneOfThose
Would you be so kind to share a link for a original tutorial which not been copypasted from the previously mentioned text? Also, i dont understand why you so angry at me. Nexus contains tons of mods with much less logic that the one that i asking for. Is that so big sin if i don't want to incubate settlements happiness? Ethreon
I'm not angry, just found it rude the way you answered. Yes, the system needs fixing. Level 1/2 stores don't matter, decorations don't matter, pretty much anything is useless, which doesn't make sense. All I tried was to explain what happens :) I do believe there are a few mods that change the way happiness works, but I can't really point them out. As for the wiki guide(s), look on the page about settlements at http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_settlements

Even with multiple level 3 stores that boost happiness and sky-high defense scores, it takes something like 2 hours REALTIME spent in a settlement's cell to raise happiness 10 points once you get over
