Crashing when changing armor after loading a file

Hi all, another problem here. Something's causing my game to crash with a runtime error when I change my armor/accessories after loading a save from the Esc menu. With certain items, nothing happens, but other items will crash, and only after subsequent loads - the first load each session can change armor fine. I have the Steam version. I'm using races from Modular Beautiful People++. Here is my load order:

This problem only started happening recently, but other than Better Bruma Statue I haven't downloaded any new mods in a while so I was thinking something's gone wrong with my load order...

I might be jumping the gun here, but after mentioning Better Bruma Statue, I tried turning that off... and I think it stopped the crashing.

 

 

Edit: Hmm.. it appears to have made it happen less, but it still happens..

This sort of thing happens to me, too. Though, it happens with a normally loaded save. I've only tried it on one save, but it's rather annoying, and I SUSPECT it happens to others. I'll check later. But what the problem is, is when I simply unequip, the armor I have one (It's a full body armor piece, from Hentai Mania. The enchanted version of an armor, called 'Shadow Singer.' And this problem only occurred last night, never beforehand)

It seems after I got a compilation OMOD of Unique Landscape mods, this happened. But, I'm not really sure how this would effect my inventory. Least not a specific piece of armor. Nothing else is effected if I unequip, equip or drop any item. Obviously of course, I can't equip or unequip any armor or clothing, or I get a CTD. It's kind of irritating..

 

Edit: Not sure if it'll make a difference to it, but I'm using the Desu Chan's Doll race, and HGEC body in this particular save. (neither having given me problems in the past, what-so-ever)

 

Edit 2: Just tried with another save, no clothing changes are causing a crash. So uh. What the hell? >.> Armor I got many, many moons ago is having problems suddenly?

Oblivion does have some strange problems with save games. To avoid them you should never load a save from ingame, always back out to the start menu. It is also a bad idea to overwrite old saves, create a new save every time.

 

You could also try synching your save to your current load order via OBMM.

Thanks for the Synching tip. I'll try that in a second and report back. But I must say, I do never load from ingame, and I never save over old files. Always fresh, new ones.

 

Nope didn't work. Sooo, I'm going to have to go back about 5 or 6 gameplay hours as that save, and then never, ever equip that, ever again, eh? <.<

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but my reply was directed to the original post on this thread.

I suspect that the enchantment on your armor conflicts with a mod you recently installed.

Whatever the case, I sorted my problem anyway, by going back HOURS xD No matter! There's always things to be done differently. I hope the OP has his problems sorted through your help.
