VIitS
So I like to have the sound effects a lot lower so I can hear voice more easily without having the sound too loud, but Bethesda did something really stupid: They made holotapes use the Effects category instead of the Voice category. I found out how to change the sound category for what looks like most of the in-game sounds, but unfortunately dialogue (including holotapes) is handled completely differently. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the sound category for holotapes without scripting? That is one of the aspects of modding I haven't yet learned, and don't really have the time to do so right now. Edit: Nevermind, found it.
chucksteel
How did you fix this? I do the same thing and always have to adjust the volume before playing a Holotape.
VIitS
Just went into the holotape category record (I completely missed it the first few times I looked, which is why I bothered asking since I couldn't find a category controlling holotapes), FormID = 001275ca .Then just change the ONAM - Unknown field as I did below:http://i.imgur.com/nJMNSsg.pngIt's that simple, just a single edit to a single record. I really wish I had looked into it a while ago, since this has been bothering me since I started playing.
