Final Fantasy Music

Hey - everybody knows final fantasy music is way better than Oblivion's, right? Why doesn't somebody make a mod to put it into Oblivion?

Would it violate some legal thing I would have no idea about?

See, I'm just getting bored of the LOTR music that I downloaded to replace Oblivion's....

It's fairly safe to say that it would be illegal to distribute it as a mod. The only thing I can suggest is you either buy the actual soundtrack(s)

or download it somewhere.

If you already have the music (on your HDD) its illegal to move it into the oblivion folder. Its just lisenting to music after all. It starts to get legal if you share it with people (upload it to a website. And Oblivion music has won several music awards from gaming and music communities/industries, has final fantasy?

You're saying legal there, but it should say illegal. Let's not confuse Ddeatth now.

Yes it is indeed illegal not legal. :P We've had problems with people uploading the Final Fantasy or LotR soundtracks as a mod in the past without understanding the legal implications... they all get deleted. As niraxA says, it's best to buy the soundtrack and just put it in the Oblivion folder structure.
