Carimya
Hey ppl! I´ve got some really messed up shadows and I´d like to know if there´s a way to turn them (ONLY THEM) off or to fix them (maybe does OBGE fix it?).The problem is following: If the camera isn´t more that 1m away from the face, everything looks fine. Because of the edited Oblivion.ini i´ve got some beautifull hairshadows, that look realistic. But if the distance gets higher, there are stupid shadowdots at the eyes and a REALLY CRAPPY DISTURBING UGLY shadow around the mouth. And that´s not all -.- If I´m about 10m or more away from a creature, npc or player (freecam) that is BEHIND a wall I can see the shadows THROUGH the wall.If I remember correctly I didn´t have that problem before installing Shivering Isles O.o. (But before installing shivering isles I also didn´t have the beautifull hairshadows) Hope you can help. AAHHH one moment: I´ve found this in the Oblivion.ini. Could it help? : iActorShadowIntMax=10iActorShadowIntMin=0iActorShadowExtMax=10iActorShadowExtMin=0 EDIT: Forgot something: I already had OBGE installed once. But I uninstalled it... Well.. but not fully. I just deleted the .exe s. Could that have made the problem? Edited June 15, 2011 by Carimya
MotoSxorpio
The following apply to toggling various shadows: [Display] bActorSelfShadowing= bDoActorShadows= bDoCanopyShadowPass= bDoStaticAndArchShadows= bDrawShadows= bEquippedTorchesCastShadows= bShadowsOnGrass= Top two will give you shadows on player/NPC, the rest are dressing. Setting them to "1" enables them. The following setting adjust shadow scaling or resolution: [Display] iActorShadowCountExt=10 iActorShadowCountInt=10 iActorShadowExtMax=10 iActorShadowExtMin=1 iActorShadowIntMax=10 iActorShadowIntMin=1 iShadowFilter=2 iShadowMapResolution=512 [speedTree] iCanopyShadowScale=256 You can change all of the entries above to higher integers than those set by Oblivion. For example, a high-end card could handle: [Display] iActorShadowCountExt=20 iActorShadowCountInt=20 iActorShadowExtMax=20 iActorShadowExtMin=1 iActorShadowIntMax=20 iActorShadowIntMin=1 iShadowFilter=10 iShadowMapResolution=1024 [speedTree] iCanopyShadowScale=512 Making changes to the INI that are higher than those set by Oblivion will be reset if Video Options are viewed ingame.
