JimboUK
Valve wrote that EULA did they? Would you roll your eyes to someone's face at something they said out in the real world? No? Then don't do it here. You're such a child, you can't ignore one simple post? Grow up. This is the last time I'm going to reply to you, I'm going to block you before I say something that is likely to threaten my account. In future do not reply to any of my posts because you will be ignored, I am sick and tired of your nonsense in every thread that dare criticise EA or any of their products. I ended up discussing Dragon Age 2 elsewhere because of it, you tried to derail the thread on people boycotting BF3 bizarrely claiming that EA weren't responsible for the actions of EA, you couldn't even leave it be when I posted a humorous image in the imageshare mentioning Bioware. If a passing mod could lock this thread it would be appreciated.
Halororor
It way come as a shock but Steam isn't great as crack up to be, it is a monopoly on the rise and if EA and other publishers want to open their own digital stores to stem the tide, they have every right to do so. You're missing the point that for a lot of us, Steam is a digital shelf. I like to buy games through Steam, because then I have them all in one place, and for the most part, they're accessible to me wherever I go. I don't get why you think Steam is monopolizing the Digital Distribution market, because there are tons of other digital distribution services out tehre. The only difference with Steam was that they provided a client through which their digital distibution runs. When other publishers try and cash in on Steam's success, they force me to split my gaming collection again. If I have to open up another client for every game I want to play from a different publisher, it removes the point of why I use Steam entirely. That's why I'm not going to use Origin. Instead of having all my games in one place, I have them all over the place tied to various clients again. What I do find the most annoying is that people seem to bang EA as if they were the "big bad guys" of the computer industry, that they are the one who are trying to "suck people's souls". Guys they are a normal company, just like everyone else and this is their way of expanding their business. Not the big bad guys? Heh, you probably haven't seen what their games sell for. In a recent EA week Steam special, The Sims 3 was put on special, down from it's ridiculous $40 to $23. For a three year old game, even $23 is pushing their luck. Then another nice example is C&C3, a 4 year old game. I can pick it up for about $5 at any local retailer here, but no, on Steam EA is selling it for $29. No, they're not the bad guys at all, just as money hungry as a hobo who's gone without food for months. Why should the thread be locked, punishing the rest of us, simply because the two of you got your knickers in a twist and couldn't be mature about it? hector530
i think its lame EA started Origins, first heard of it at E3. after all E3 demos they said you "see the trailer at ea origin.com". i like that all my new games were on stream only had to go to one place for all my gaming, this origins just seems pointless no doubt actvision will make its own soon and pullout of stream. but crysis 2 is 40 bucks right now origin so ill give it a try. also i think OPs can close threads at his or her choosing. last thing origin is a stupid name why name it origin?!? why not EAstore and keep it simple no you have name it origin, google doesnt even like your name, it goes to make-up websites. Halororor
also i think OPs can close threads at his or her choosing. Or he can leave and just not post in it again, also at his or her choosing. Locking a thread in which people are having a discussion simply because you had a spat with someone is childish, selfish and spiteful.
