xXWolfcrashXx
Whenever I try to make/edit a mod and move an object in the world using the render window and save it does not apply the changes in game for some reason
Deleted1205226User
Did you make the esp "Active file" before loading it?

dubiousintent
First thing I would normally check is that the file and folder are not set to "Read Only". If you have the game installed to the default Steam location under the "C:\Program Files" folder tree, this can keep getting reset by the system security. If so, the long term solution is to move the game out of the "C:\Program Files" tree. -Dubious-
madmongo
Is your file an esp or an esm? An esm change to an existing object is often ignored by the game. An NPC added by an esp won't have the correct skin texture. On the other hand, changes to the existing game often require an esp. This means that for some mods you need both an esm and an esp. Other possibilities - is the object in question added by another mod? If the object is added by an esm from another mod you should be able to move it around, though if another esp also moves the object then whoever edits the record last wins. Making changes to objects added by another esp can be problematic.
drithius
Sometimes, miscellaneous objects won't change their position in a cell if you've previously loaded that cell and made a save. Edited April 3, 2016 by drithius
