Adrius2
Honestly, I find the default Power Attack animations much better looking than the ones you get at Journeyman, Expert and Master levels. Especially in 1st person, the camera simply follows the default animations much better imo, resulting in more immersive combat. So I have this request... could someone make a mod that simply replaces the mastery animations with the default ones? No changes to the disarm/knockdown/paralyse effects or anything, just changing the animations. The only exception I would make is the forward two-handed Master power attack which is pretty awesome in comparison to the default. I figure it would be pretty simple considering that the animations are already there... but my own mastery of the CS is like... -20. So help... pretty please? :)
documn
I could do this when I get home. It's really simple. But considering that it's so simple, you should try to do it yourself! You don't need to use the CS at all. Get a utility to unpack BSAs (OBMM, BSA commander, etc.). Open the Meshes BSA and find the animations you want (that is to say, the non-mastery animations) in Meshes\Character\_male. They'll all have the .kf extension and the names are pretty intuitive. Put them in your Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Character\_male folder. If this directory path doesn't exist, make it. While you've still got the BSA open, record the file names of the mastery animations. Now go back to Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Character\_male and rename the files so that they have the same name as the corresponding mastery animations. Done! documn
Oh, did you want it for both the 1st and 3rd person animations?
Adrius2
Yeah, both 1st and 3rd person. I looked through the BSA with OBMM and it does look pretty simple... I'll try it myself and if I screw up I'll come back here crying ;) Thanks.
