Fallout: Prototype

For those of you who dont know what Prototype is, read this.

 

This mod brings some of the functions from Prototype into Fallout and I will use this thread as a "base of operations", posting updates and function lists when they are updated. This will be using NVSE.

 

The current functions that have been coded are;

  1. Upgrades and Power Lists
  2. Power: Speed Boost
  3. Power: Jump Boost
  4. Power: Consumption (No Disguise)
  5. Power: Stealth Consumption (No Disguise)
  6. Power: Shield

(I intend to code the disguise system after all the main features I have planned are done.)

 

Things that wont be coded are;

  1. Creatures
  2. Hives
  3. The weapons (blade, claw, whip etc etc)
  4. Vehicles

(Weapons and creatures might be done if someone can make me textures and meshes, if you are in for it, contact me in a private message.)

 

 

 

I would like your ideas, feedback and all sorts of spam in this thread, anything to keep my spirit up. If you are lucky you might get a screenshot.

Doubt running-on-walls is possible in FNV without the NVSE being way more robust than it is... I like Prototype, nonetheless, though the effect wouldn't be quite complete without the weapons I don't think. Regardless, consumption might work with disguises if you could consume someone and have your armor's appearance change to theirs along with gaining their faction as per normally equipping faction armor, which would be cool. Just an idea.

I am not a good coder whatsoever, running on walls isnt even on my try-to-make list, good idea tho.

I would make the weapons if someone could make textures and meshes as I dont have a clue on how to make them.

 

The disguise power will make your player look exactly like the consumed NPC and have their exact inventory and all equipped items they had equipped, I dont know how to do about factions as I'd need to go through all of them and save them, a hell of a job.

I also coded a shield power which makes the players damage threshold (spelling) go sky high.

To balance this mod out, I decided to make Securitrons be like Super Soldiers, they have built-in Viral Detectors and will attack if you come too close.

 

And I was hoping not to need DLC content, but if I used the clouds from Dead Money I could easily make Bloodtox and spread it out through the Mojave aswell as making Bloodtox grenades and similar, opinion here anybody?

I'd rather just see the armours. Maybe have a few abilites as perks? could turn canbilism of any corpse or living thing into a non karmic event....since you'd need to do it every coupla hours so you would'nt die? Maybe make it where it's a flawed process? a shapshifter that needs to feed.....a lot. to stay metabolicly viable?
