Vondure
How do I make a hair mod specific to a certain race available to another? I'm talking about Ling's hair mod. I want certain designs available for Shojo.

I want certain designs available for Shojo. you need to download the geck from the fallout New Vegas website to do thatI have it. I also have FNVedit. I tinkered with both of them, but as expected,my little modding knowledge only took me so far. Guide me through kind sir?
chipndip
I'm sorry I tried to walk you through it but my geck is not working right now, I don't know why it's not loading anything. I'm actually using a method from Oblivion. It should be easy though just load up both plug-ins be sure to set the shojo race plug-in active and click on the character's tab and than click on the hair option. A box should pop open showing you Ling's hairs (leave that box open) and than click on the character's tab again this time click on race and you should see the Shojo race along with the Vanilla Race. If there is more than one shojo race than you have to add hairs to each shojo race. Click on the shojo race under EditorID and next click on body data you should see eye colors and hair styles to your right, remember that box that you left open for Ling's hair just drag those hairs into the hair styles of the Shojo race, click ok save and quit. done. I might be missing some steps like I said my geck isn't working by try this method and keep me updated.
Vondure
Thank you so much. :psyduck: It worked! There was however, a little clipping that happened.Nothing big, just a couple of spots is all. Is there a way I could resize the hair mesh through GECK?Or do I need to go download a 3D modelling program?
chipndip
sorry you need a 3d modeling program. If you have one though you can read this guide from fallout 3 nexus it's for headgears but I'm pretty sure it works the same way for hair.
Vondure
No problem. This should be a lot easier since I used to mod big time for The Sims 3, so I should be able to handle it. Once again, thank you very much for all the help!
Moraelin
Cool. There were some awesome mods in TS3, especially clothes and hairs. No idea which were yours, but looking forward to seeing some of that in Fallout too :)
NorthWolf
I may or may not have set your beautiful models on fire in the course of, uh... "taking care" of my sims. Edited June 18, 2011 by NorthWolf
