crudius
Hi All, I think i have a resonably stable install right now,but still suffer random crashes and bugged saves occasionally....usually i can play for upto 3 hours then it will crash....resulting in the last quick save or full save being corrupt of just repeating the crash.Last night i was on a roll and hitting F5 (my fault i know) resulting in losing an hours progress.....hey-ho. But how do you all get round this? i try to do complete saves after a major thing like quest completion or a good find....but my save folder get swollen and i constantly back it up to keep it small and clean. Im using OSR AND FAST EXIT 2 to try and improve the odd crash,as i dont think i suffer as bad as some.Any other suggestions to avoid lost gameplay? Many Thanks. schijnn
I create a new save game every 3-5 minutes (I never use quicksave, and never save over an existing save), and on both sides of every loading door. To prevent my saves folder from using up my entire hard disk, I delete all but the most recent 4-5 saves every day. I also use weOCPS, Oblivion Stutter Remover, and Operation Optimization, but not Streamline.
Adrius2
Funny, I've never had my save-games corrupted and I always overwrite existing ones... guess I'm lucky. I get that awesome crash-prevention sound now and then when pressing the F5, so weOCPS definitely helps :)
