MaularukoTheBarbarian
You know, I know it seems OP but I'd like to see a proper mod for becoming a God, and I'm talking one with a story, lore, all that, I don't want to just see "here's a God item, smite everything" I want to see a difficult queatline to earn that power, I want to see effort and Aetherius Magic has not been updated in a long time so it's still a bit underdone in regards to being a God, or at least using the powers of onefantastic idea!!!!! ShadowDestroyerOfTime
You know, just the other day I was thinking of that become a daedric prince idea but I never posted a thread cause someone already did. Also, earning the title of God in Skyforg, what? And I'm not concerned with how lore friendly it is, I mean I actually like Trainwiz's Brhuce Hammar mod so clearly lore friendliness is not my concern, I don't mind if it is yours though, as for the daedric prince thing, it could be possible to replace an existing prince (See; Oblivion, Shivering Isles expansion) You only temporarily replace Sheogorath. It is because you mantled Sheogorath when there was no conscious Sheogorath, and thus you had full control. When the Greymarch ends and the consciousness of Sheogorath returns, the consciousness of the CoC would fade and become just a minor adjustment of Sheogorath's own consciousness (that is, if the mantle is even permanent in this case). I also was only responding about lore-friendliness when responding to someone that mentioned lore.
Althurdiil
No. When the other Daedric Princes banded together and defeated Jyggalag, the Daedric Prince or Order, they cursed him to become what he hated most, Madness. Thus Sheogorath was born. To further torture him, they allowed him to transform back into his true self once every age to reclaim his world from his alter-ego.This was called The Greymarch. Afterwards he would return to his altered form. Jyggalag hated this so much that at last he formulated a plan.He found the aid of a mortal champion, The Champion of Cyrodiil, who proved himself to be a worthy servant. When at last the Greymarch came full-circle, Sheogorath feared his plan had failed, and at last transformed back into his true self. However, the Champion of Cyrodiil was able to re-ignite the power of the currently deceased Sheogorath, mantle him, and defeat Jyggalag in a 1v1 duel. (Though I still think Jyggalag took it easy on you...) After this battle, Jyggalag is freed from his curse, and you keep the power and identity of Sheogorath. The Champion of Cyrodiil soon becomes just like his predecessor. Thus the full transformation from one of the greatest mortals, to our favorite Daedra, was complete. Sheogorath was a real Daedric Prince with real power, but he was still just a cursed Jyggalag. When Sheogorath "died" and became Jyggalag, his Power, Artifacts and Throne died too. However, you revived all of it while Jyggalag was still in his true form, which effectively began the separation of the two. After his defeat, this somehow completed the separation. The power and identity of Sheogorath stays with you, and the power and identity of Jyggalag stays with him. And that is why the Champion of Cyrodiil is Sheogorath. Sheogorath in Skyrim talks as though he was there during the Oblivion Crisis, among other references. If The Champion of Cyrodiil didn't become Sheogorath, then this is completely false. This is my explanation of this matter from what I know of The Elder Scrolls. I hope it answered every doubt and question. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. Edited April 1, 2016 by Althurdiil
lithan1
This is a great idea! This may be asking a lot, but it would be really neat to have a small but epic quest against a rogue god or just trying to reach enlightenment or some such that leads us through the history of the Aedra and the Magna Ge, stepping briefly into their worlds and even into Aetherius and the edge of Aurbis itself. Although I would love to fully explore those places along with the afterlives in a seriously epic questline, that's too big of a job to ask for I think. Its almost DLC big I think... On the other side, though, if earning the title of god is anything like doing so in Skyforge, just not nearly as long and with more customizable options for what kind of god you want to be, it would be pretty awesome too. I'm interested to hear what the poster of this idea wants for this though. EDIT: I just read about something interesting called the Amaranth which has been mentioned in books in game apparently, although its not necessarily considered cannon. http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/242459/what-or-who-is-amaranthActually now that you mentioned Skyforge, i'd like to throw in something that comes from Skyforge, a Divine Form transformation (Which is of course possible thanks to the VL transformation mechanics of the Dawnguard DLC)
Caerulean
The big-project upcoming mod 'Apotheosis' seems to promise what this mod request is looking for. Lore-breaking or extremely lore-bending in my opinion, but hey, I've no idea how they made it play out in the story. *shrug*
lithan1
The big-project upcoming mod 'Apotheosis' seems to promise what this mod request is looking for. Lore-breaking or extremely lore-bending in my opinion, but hey, I've no idea how they made it play out in the story. *shrug*I am well aware of this mod and i'm looking forward to it, comes out next month, however when an earlier post mentioned Skyforge that gave me the idea of like a Divine Form transformation, could work in the same manner as the Vampire Lord transformation, in your normal form, yes you have your godly power, but it's very limited as your flesh body cannot handle the full power, but unleash your Divine Form and you can unleash your full might, however there is a catch, maybe your powers eat up Magicka FAST in your normal form, and in your Divine Form using your Divine powers uses up a special resource, Divine Energy, and when you run out, not only are you unable to use your Divine Powers again until it recharges, but you are forced out of your Divine Form, plus, regardless of how you reverted back to normal (On your own or ran out of energy), your Divine Form has a 1-day cooldown before you can use it again (Basically, normal form, your Divine Powers could do damage equal to expert or master level Destruction spells but eat up Magicka (And don't have the long charge time), and in Divine Form you could one-shot a low to medium level dragon (Without dragon buffer mods) with some of your more powerful abilities, running out of Divine Energy forces you out of Divine form, and Divine form has a 1-day cooldown, plus you have to be very careful with your powers, especially in densely populated areas, and with followers) oh and I was thinking your followers could recieve passive buffs from your Divine Form's presence, but at the same time you don't just have offensive powers, you could have others, each fitting with other Magic schools I know I should have put these details in the first post but I didn't think of them till now
Caerulean
This 'feature' actually seems pretty simple to do but the concern would be how satisfactory it is, especially without the 'become a deity' idea and a whole quest, and even easier without new perks. One can make a base magic effect in the CK and have it active as a condition before the other spells or abilities can work; and then when the duration ends, the other effects would fail as well. For example, one can make it so that the character won't be able to cast Flames, Firebolt, Fire Rune, etc. without a Flame Cloak first.

lithan1
-_- of course Apotheosis has been re-scheduled for a December, 2016 release
lithan1
Will Apotheosis ever come out, how many times must that mod be delayed? I swear it's like Ubisoft with their South Park games, although i'd still love to see a mod that uses the ideas I put in this thread
