zanity
The museums are down right TERRIBLE compared to efforts in earlier Beth games. The handling of the 'historic' aspect of Fallout 4 is another dumbed-down side of the game- and further proof that the usual A-team at Beth was always working on Skyrim 2. There is a surface character to interiors in FO4, and nothing else. In that regard, I'm reminded of the incredibly poor Bioshock Infinite- and I'm sure that title acted as a partial inspiration for FO4. But the engine is BROKEN when rendering interiors- so despite the lack of world model data compared with outside, the 'dynamic' light system makes interior rendering way too GPU heavy. This chucks out most artistic design choices, and 'mechanical' interactive ambition. So we get a lightly flavoured world, rather that a heavily detailed one- despite the large number of years between FO3 and FO4.
seekingthesun
You should download my mods. I added a quest that references the silversmiths, it's called 'The gilded grasshopper" and I even got all the original voice actors from the game to do dialog for it. In the quest you pick up a file and it leads you on a scavenger hunt to follow revolutionary war era copper smiths.Just kidding those are in the base game
