RuaDragonheart
I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out what's wrong. The skin of NPC's bodies shown through armor and their faces do not match, except now for Raiders. I'm using the dimonized Type 3 BASE HD body for females and Breeze's body for males, and the Type 3 Armor Replacer by exeter, along with the other type 3 armor replacers he made. Now... most of the females display correctly, though there are a few that're off, such as Moira, whose skin is much paler than it should be. Just about all of my male NPCs are off; pretty much every caucasian displays a yellowed skin when they wear armor and every other race's texture can either match, or vary wildly. I'm not sure what to do anymore. I'm tempted to try Project Beauty to see if that'd help, but knowing my luck that'll only cause new problems for me to deal with. BlackRampage
Tried toggling archive invalidation on and off I assume? The best way to remedy this problem as much as possible (it's not really possible to completely remove it) is to run Fo3edit in Masterupdate mode. Yes, I've tried toggling the invalidation; I think that's what fixed some of the issues (as it used to be everyone, not just some NPCs). I suppose I'll try FO3Edit now. How exactly do I go about using Masterupdate mode? Edited June 20, 2011 by RuaDragonheart
SGTDRE
I know this maybe a silly question here but did you try to toggle ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated on & off or if it was on then off then on again?
RuaDragonheart
It was on, so I toggled it off and then back on again.
RuaDragonheart
Sorry to double-post. I figured out how to run MasterUpdate mode and got that done. Started up the game, and... well, Moira's fixed, but she's the only one that's fixed. All the guys still have off-colored skin.
BlackRampage
There's no need to apologize for a double post when you post important info imho. Anyway, does it only occur with males now? and is it only visible when they're naked? If so, you might want to give reinstalling breeze's mod a try. Dunno if there's any more improperly-colored females now, but I just checked on Andy Stahl, and the off-colored skin is visible both with his armor on and off. BlackRampage
Eh, yes. I forgot that Breezes mod changes the textures regardless of what the NPC or PC is wearing. I would therefore recommend to deactivate that mod, then check again if you still get the same issue. btw: even though Project Beauty won't fix the problem, I'd definitely install it anyway. Just because it's, well, beautiful. @SGTDRE: Considering I just asked the same question only 2 posts above yours, that's indeed a bit of a silly question. SGTDRE
Sorry for the same post as everyone else, just trying to help out, but I was looking for this info that I saw a coupe of days ago on body replacer mod. Took a while but here it is. [Try checking this "bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1" in your "Fallout.ini"] and I know this sound like a broken record, but RE-Read all the instructions for the mods that your having issues with, just maybe you missed something or over looked something. Hope I was able to help.
