RoyalGuard1945 Posted April 4, 2016 Share Posted April 4, 2016 Hey guys and girls, I can't fully use nexus because my computer fails when I download the new .net framework version 4.6. Every time I download it, it stops and says it cant. I did a hard reset on this computer and nexus worked fine a few days ago. I have tried fixers but they do jack s#*!. I have many games that need mods but I can't use freaking nexus. Can anyone help me? looked through all the forum discussions and none talked about this problem. I am using windows 8.1. bben46 Posted April 4, 2016 Share Posted April 4, 2016 The .net framework is only needed for using the NMM NOT for downloading mods. You can download and install any mod manually and a manager is not required. However, my guess is you are way behind in updating your windows. .Net framework is a Windows program and a part of windows and not a Nexus program. Fix your windows first, then try again. If you are using win7 then you must have at least upgraded to the SP1 version that was a very important security update about 5 years ago. The latest version of windows .net framework will not install without SP1 already being installed.
