Rotemetoot
Just enjoy the game and enjoy life. I can only say that console games also have mirrors that reflect stuff real time. But to reflect something as graphically high end as witcher 2 graphics will quit possibly give us large amounts of fps drops around mirrors. Really, they have coded the best looking game ever and it is VERY SIMPLE to code in some mirrors for the pc version (lol)But it is extremely demanding on your computer... So this game isn't a console port because of the mirrors, absolutely not. But I do agree it looks well like it the point of departure was that it is console friendly... And so what. Let everyone have their thing. We have food, water, life, don't complain over futile things. The best rpg experience I ever had was playing "living stratego" in the forest with schoolcamp. No computer can top that.
dragonbird
I watched the "bonus content" videos yesterday, and one of them talks quite a lot about the real-time rendering of shadows/lighting instead of using shadow maps. I'd suspect that this, not console gaming, is the likely cause of a simplified approach to reflections and mirrors. It's probably just too much processing to handle both, and they went for the more important one.
Deleted2783630User
I always laugh out loud at fanboys who spend their time crying about their favorite platforms...Its even funnier that they complain about graphics.This. If TW2 was dumbed down (cut potions, cut skills, etc.) then I'd complain about consolization. I fail to understand how the lack of proper mirrors has dumbed down TW2. Remember how TW2 was so difficult at launch that many couldn't get past the prologue? Isn't that proof enough that it hasn't suffered consolization since, you know, consoles is where e z mode and teh casualz live?
