EmissaryOfWind
A fun idea I had, I don't have the skills to do it myself and it's probably best to wait for the GECK for this type of mod, but I wanted to share with you guys. Currently, the Glowing Sea is a complete desert, which is pretty realistic and an exciting premise, but wandering there I found it pretty boring. When it gets down to it, you're just walking in a straight line and all you see is the same ground and the same ten meters of visibility. But what if the Glowing Sea was turned into a psychedelic jungle, where the only plant life that survived was, much like the fauna, turned giant and glowing, with mushrooms three stories tall, multi-colored vines and completely deformed flowers? Of course, this isn't very lore-friendly, I know, so no need to comment with that. But it would look so much more interesting, so I'd love to see it anyway! I had a bunch of pictures for inspiration, but Nexus isn't letting me add them, so f it :P
Hedloff
That actually sounds like a pretty cool idea, lol. Plenty of non-lore friendly mods out there, people still use them. What about a complete glowing sea revamp? Custom quests, secret areas, etcetera.
seekingthesun
Most of the radiation from nukes is gone in the first month. There's a few ultra-high yield neutron bombs but those would be negligible after 220 years
JuJooGuppy
So, maybe somewhat kinda (Note: KINDA) like Avatar's Pandora at night time, mixed with The Shivering Isles madness side? Cause thatd be neat. Id argue that itd be worth making a new location in this style entirely, I mean, I get why you are wanting to do it to the glowing sea, so do what you feel is best. But I also think itd be neat to have an all new area in that style, with new quests etc. *shrug*Either way, I like the idea of it!
EmissaryOfWind
Well, if you look at the workload in adding some plant life (to a large area, but still) versus creating a whole new location with quests, there's really a big difference! And like I said, I'm just playing with the idea for now, I haven't planned anything yet.
azrielmoha
Hmm, that's an interesting idea. But if someone decided to make mod like these, instead of a glowing jungle, I'm thinking like a some sort of glowing plain(Something like the glowing grassland in Avatar)? Filled with these mushrooms and plants which have adapted to the radiation(But still can't live in areas which the radiation still highly concentrated such as the crater and areas surrounding it) while larger mushrooms forming this glowing forests. For the location of these plains and forests, i suggest putting it in the southern regions of the glowing sea and as further north, the mushrooms concentration slowly fading . snapper69
How about coming up with a way to decontaminate it altogether? The Children of Atom wouldn't be best pleased, mind.
EmissaryOfWind
What would be the point of decontaminating it? The Glowing Sea is interesting because it's dangerous!
