Changing NPC Appearance

So my problem is little more complicated than others. I edited Curie's appearance by console commands, saved it, it became perfect for me and there's no problem except I want to start over again and I don't want to edit Curie again. So is there a way for I can export my edited Curie's textures and meshes and import it to original Curie?

P.s. Sorry for bad english, not my native language.

You can face rip any NPC and give them a new face, like a mod. Which means you create a new mod to give them a new face (and this face is based on a face you rip from another character, even your own player character). On how to do that? You need to start reading tutorial.

Well I think I found out how to do it. I can't verify it now but I think I'll use FaceRipper and don't select Player-7, scroll down(or up) and find Curie, and do the same for the target save. I don't know if there's a option like this because I'm mobile right now but I'll try it tomorrow and see the results.

I save them into their own .ESP files using Face ripper.

I use .ESP files this way instead of the Face Ripper save game method because this way it's always player 7 from the Face Ripper menu and not some random ID number from an NPC you may have once touched in game.

Using FO4Edit,

Right click on the list you see, from the pop up menu, "Select None"

Open the Fallout4.esm, (only the fallout4.esm should have a check box)

Now, scroll down to the Non-Player Character category,

Right click on the first record named "Player" which is FormID (00000007) and EditorID Player,

then from the popup menu select Copy as New Record,

A dialog pops up filled in with "Player", press okay,

A warning message pops up, Press Yes,

a dialog pops up, "which files do you want to add this record to" select <new file>,

a dialog pops up asking you to name the New Module File, name it that name of the character you want to save and perhaps the date, press okay.

Click the close button, make sure your new .ESP file has a check box and accept the application close.

Now open you Fallout4 DATA directory, Move the newly created .ESP file to a safe location.

Do not attempt to load this .ESP, just Move It Out of the Data directory somewhere safe.

DO NOT LEAVE THIS IN YOUR DATA DIRECTORY.

Now use Face Ripper, select this .ESP file as the Target and wa la, you have a save of that character's visual preferences.

If you want to change something about how your saved character looks, you can use FO4Edit to select different make up, eye colors, et without having to load the game.

It's not really an .ESP, it it simply contains your character looks.

Don't leave it in your data directory...

Thanks for a huge tip, can I use this method for exporting Curie's edited face from my old save and import it to my new save?

Yes, should work fine.

The drop down menu (left of the "Reset Face" button that defaults to showing Player - 7) in Face Ripper should have a small list of non player Companion NPCs, Curie uses the ID 00102249. So if you want to rip her face to your new source, make sure to check and select her from the drop down menu.

Here's the ID list for other companions for reference.

Cait – 00079305

Codsworth – 0001CA7D

Curie – 00102249

Deacon – 00050976

Dogmeat – 0001D162

John Hancock – 00022615

Nick Valentine – 00002F25

Paladin Danse – 0005DE4D

Piper – 00002F1F

Preston Garvey – 0001A4D7

Robert MacCready – 0002A8A7

Strong – 0003F2BB

X6-88 – 000E210A

Note, if you use a save game as a target destination, Face Ripper will create a new Save using the same filename but will append the character ID your replacing to the end of it. Your original save game will be unaltered and remain in your saves directory. So when loading your save, make sure to select the one you altered, which should (because of time date stamps) be at the top of the list.
