HeyYou
I gave up expecting anything even remotely resembling justice a long time ago. When abusers can manipulate the system to the point they can do basically anything they want, and the victim has no recourse, as the abuser has "rights"..... Something is seriously wrong. There are just way too many examples of Miscarriage of Justice right here where I live. And this is a small town.......

Pyrosocial
Please don't tell me you think it kills officers inside when they know a child is being abused and can't do anything. The situation you posted is a Department Children/families case. The police can't do anything unless the kid's bruised and he says they hurt him. Often the kids won't, after all it's their parents. Sepherose
Please don't tell me you think it kills officers inside when they know a child is being abused and can't do anything. Actually, there was injury, and the daughter outright told the police sh got hurt, still nothing. Even so, the police are supposed to protect adults as well when there is physical injury, and there was evidence of this as well with the woman in question having a rather nasty bruise from him on her arm, and still nothing was done. As for the rest of it, on monday she went to a women's shelter, and although they had no room to put her up, they DID find her assistance with a restraining order and with the divorce paperwork. As the restraining order was the quicker route for now, she did that first. So at this time, things are beginning to work out.
