lanceuppercut47
recently found out about FNV modding (and in turn F3) because i didn't like how dark FNV was at night compared to F3 so i started looking around.. being able to add things like iron sights to F3 and making the ranger helmet on FNV have its own light amplification i would've thought i could find a mod for the sniper rifle's modified weight as it still does -5 the rifle's weight, even with the latest patch but now i get the pleasure of paying extra for a non working part! is there a mod or instructions on how to "fix" this behaviour anywhere? kevkiev
I never could find a mod like that, and also posted in the "Mod Requests" section with no luck. Which makes me think it's not an easy fix. (I think the issue affects some other weapons too.)

Limitations
You could just use GECK and modify it yourself. It's only one entry.

kevkiev
You could just use GECK and modify it yourself. It's only one entry. I tried making a 3lb sniper rifle in the Geck, and it worked ok 'cept for some reason equipping it with the CF parts mod didn't change the textures to that carbon fibre look. Not sure if I just screwed up or what (just started using the geck a few days ago). Ended up making myself a silenced GOBI with increased range and a night vision scope so ended up pretty happy.

The GECK is the tool to make mods. See this thread for more info. Drakeelvin lays it out nicely.
