Crap. And when I try to turn off UAC (Windows 7) it says I need to restart my computer. Problem is, the only person (Mum) who knows the password isn't here right now. I'll just mod Morrowind while I'm waiting.

I disabled UAC and I got the exact same error word for word. Do I need to reinstall Wrye Python or something? And if I do, will it affect my installed mods?

Even with steam off, there are some residual protection functions inherent in that directory.

Either uninstall steam and reinstall it somewhere else or give full access (except 'special permissions') to the steam folder to everything.

steam can be moved without uninstalling it

steam forums know how

and re-installing all of python 03a or OBMM won't harm your mods
