Sure you've not altered anything in your Oblivion .ini?Altered anything in OBGE .ini (assuming you use it obviously!)Updated any drivers lately? Installed any programs, etc? Oblivion shouldn't simply "stop" if it worked before...
bben46
The normal uninstall does not remove your mods. Or several other things you would expect it to, like the registry entries that are written when you first install. I am assuming that you have already wiped out your data folder and your save game folder in your attempt to get the game back. Leaving the left over registry entries as the most likely culprit. (If not, don't delete them yet - read the info in my uninstall/reinstall first.) Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure. It fixes most of the problems caused by a the Oblivion uninstall.http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=240 It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice. Once you have a working game again, don't add any mods until you make a backup of the base working game - OR, use this to make multiple versions (backups) mtes4manager http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35263
