SnaKe1911
So far, I'm on my third playthrough for FO3 GOTY (Evil playthrough - Without mods.. completing story and all DLC's atm) and there is still a lot of content (like side missions and stuffz) for me to discover. I just can't stop playing FO3 !!! :@.. Anyways, I doubt that I'll get FO:NV because of all the flaws the game has and stuff..... and my addiction to FO3 :P. I don't want to install mods b'cuz I'll soon regret it.. If you know what i mean.
AliasTheory
I still play Fallout 3. Mainly because I don't have New Vegas, nor do I care to buy it. Mods. All the way.
7thsealord
*Is there any "no crash" patches or anything? "No Crash", no. Plenty of patches and mods that aid stability to some degree. IF you haven't already done so - Install the Disabler for 'Games For Windows Live', if your game uses that. Guaranteed that will reduce crashes by nearly 50%. Kill the Autosave. Completely, and just do all saves manually. Guaranteed that will reduce crashes even more.
Riddleofsteel
I got the GOTY edition and am trying to jump back in to finish everything in FO3. Is the unofficial patch still good to install? It's been a LONG time since I did any vanilla FO3 research. Thank you.
monster0mash
I got the GOTY edition and am trying to jump back in to finish everything in FO3. Is the unofficial patch still good to install? It's been a LONG time since I did any vanilla FO3 research. Thank you. I'm using the unofficial patch plus the dlc unofficial patches. Just make sure Brotherhood of Steel (I think it was this) unofficial has been fixed to not trap you in Rivet City as this was happening in the version I had. It will prevent you from leaving without a CTD. You can still solve by unchecking it to get out if needed. stg58fal
I like 3 better than NV. I played Vegas for a while and it seemed like they went a little too over the top with the cowboy/western themed bull. I couldn't really get into it. Plus I didn't pay close enough attention before it came out and picked it up before I realized that I'd have to deal with Steam to install/play/etc. Another strike. That one is just a personal preference kind of thing. If I didn't have to put up with Steam, I'd still prefer 3 over NV. IMO, 3 can be played just fine without mods; mods just make it much better. Vegas was almost unplayable without mods. I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I should have played the entire game all the way through, I don't know. I'll finish it at some point. Just not any time soon. And I'm (finally) taking my shot at modding 3, so I kind of have to keep playing it. :)
Jeoshua
I have never played Fallout 3. I don't like the game and certainly would never come to these forums. :wallbash: Seriously? I haven't read the whole thread but did anyone who DOESN'T play Fallout 3 actually come in here to say why they don't play it? Coming in here and asking this question seems a bit off. It seems kind of like going into a church and asking "Hey, does anyone here believe in God?"
JingoJackson
Hi All, I just picked up Fallout 3 GOTY from EB games cheaper than Steam. I started playing Fallout 3 after completing all the "Shadow of Chernobyl" games. I like the survivalist / scavenging / rpg / fps game play of the games. Looking at Fallout 3 I thought I'd give it a go. I've never played the first two, and so far have really enjoyed it. I'm glad I've found a modding community as I often mod games to make them last longer.
Leman Russ
I played FO:NV for about 5 hours at a friends place. Hated it. FO:3 is by far the better game.
DZMaven
I still play it. I'm trying to make a machinima/lets play of F3 with a distinct storyline paralleling the main one. It bit harder to do than I thought so it's slow going. But yeah, I still play Fallout 3 and New Vegas equally.
