Item Recipes

If you've ever played dota on wc3 frozen throne or league of legends, you know what I am meaning. I was playing around with midas magic mode and this idea suddenly came to my mind, it would be great and fun to play if there were some amazing and cool recipe items which we have to combine with several common items and/or other inner recipe items. There should be a reactor-thing like furniture where we should put all the needed items in and cast a spell on it to activate and combine the recipe, just like midas magic, and recipes should be in the form of common scroll notes and all recipe items should need it's own scroll in order to get combined at reactor, and there should be a lot of high priced and different leveled recipes sold, there should even be 4 guys selling 4 different level of recipes lol and there should be a detailed recipe book displaying all recipe items in mod which writes their full functions, their other needed items and cost of recipe scroll. Scrolls should be enormously expensive for balancing. I made everything in my head, this is just an awesome idea, I just need some awesome modder to do it as well.

Do you mean something like when you place a grand soul gem in the altar and cast the soultrap spell to obtain a black soul gem, but... placing say, three ingredients and/or some misc. items to obtain after casting a spell, some sort of superpowered potion/scroll? Doesn't sound bad to me.... 'recipe: place 7 vampire dust, two silver daggers and a lesser soul gem in the magic container. Cast any turn undead spell, and retrieve a magic scroll that will kill all vampires in a radius of 300 feet'. You could even add quests for each recipe...

Sounds good, although a lot of mods have a simplified version of this mixed in.

Are you talking about making some kind of special potion with the recipes or new ingredients? Or maybe both?

No, I m not meanng that.

No no, just cant you guys find me a dota player please? lol jk jk

I mean for example, there's a shop just like midas' shop (I mean I am describing how midas' shop was, I am not trying to combine two modes or something please dont take me wrong lol) and there are a man or several guys selling a book and a lot of expensive scroll-notes. For example you buy one of the scrolls and lets say it's recipe is Akavari Sunderblade, Akavari Katana, Goldbrand, emerald, gold nugget ; when you got all these items and put them in a reactor along with their specific scroll recipe and cast a simple spell on reactor, all the items in reactor combine to create one and more powerful sword. It has like more fire damage and disintegrate points than goldbrand and sunderblade, and more charge points than total charge points of goldbrand and sunderblade. And new weapons base damage is like [( sunderblades base dmg + goldbrand base dmg + akavari katanas base dmg) / 2] and also it's more durable than both 3 weapons and also new weapon has some badass looking new flaming unholy looking katana model. I mean we could create item recipes systems just like this. Same goes for a cuirass item, all kinds of equipped item should be a part of special recipe..

what do you mean now?

Iam looking for a scripter, I can write down like 1000 item ideas in no time, it's all in my head, all I need is a good scripter, I'm planning to think of most of the weapons as special feature scripted weapons (dawnfang/duskfang from vanilla shivering isles should be an example of how kind of items we should create)

Are you a scripter?

How about constructing dwemer steam centurion companions from gears, dwemer shield, clockwork helm or something?

No, lol. Particular idea seems fine but I don't like the idea of wasting precious dwemer armor though. Anyway, this is nothing to do with this mode, so open your own topic if you want, bro

I can script, especially if, like this, it's something not too complicated.

Post a list of some recipes to start off with and how you want them to be made. I'll see what I can do.

Well I hope you can do it but some of them might be complicated though. I'll post a powerful item now. (which is a recipe 4 item, there will be 4 different sellers of recipes and they will sell different items, recipe 1 items being cheapest and weakest type of recipe items and recipe 4 being the most powerful ones)

"Cursed Blood Sword = When wielder strikes a blow at enemy, %50 damage points of same blow deal to wielder as well. (the damage enemy got doesn't change, damage is not reflecting back) If wielder deals final blow with sword, (enemy's total hp/3) magicka restores to wielder. (sword has very high base damage)"

so how is this? is this something you can do? because most of the items will be custom scripted like this. I made 20 items already, and I will make much more and when makig of items done, I will make their requirements lists to form the recipe.

And now I will check your mods though.

Do you know midas magic mode and Force spell script?

Ok. I thinks to create this mod, firsrt of all we should find resources of 'ingredients' and make them appear in-game widely, in barrels, crates, etc. (editing LLs)

Then we have to write notes and place them where we want. And, obviously, we have to create a workplaces. Maybe place them near smiths, or create just one (upgradeable?)

When we take the recipe, we receive new variant in workbench's messagebox window.

>>precious dwemer armor

It's not so precious actually and I mentioned only shield.
