Acendant
More of a placeholder so I don't forget these ideas. I'm in no way laying "claim" on any of these but I think it would be great to see the following: 1 > Command followers to "Return to Town" and deposit your loot or anything in the "Junk" category of your inventory. (SOMEONE DID IT WOO) 2 > For Survival - A high resource cost (End game) teleporter that you can build in your settlements that links them for fast travel. (MOD AUTHOR IS DOING IT WOO)3 > A remake of the "Willow Follower Mod" from New Vegas for Fallout 4. It was easily, hands down the best done follower mod I've ever seen. 4 > WH40K Mod - Purge the wasteland of heretics. 5 > Rework of the BoS. Imagine if the Prydwen moved around the map. There could be randomly generated quests requiring you to drop down and clear an area or tag technology for pickup or help a deployed squad. 6 > Tesla defense towers for settlements. Multiple flavors: Long range single zap and long range zap with arcing. 7 > Send out foragers or tell your companion to scavenge an area. 8 > Changable and up-gradable Vertibirds, sort of like with the weaponbench. Door minigun changed to a rocket launcher etc. 9 > Bows and arrows 10 > Recharge your Fusion Cores (SOMEONE DID IT WOO) 11 > Equip all mods/upgrades at once on power armor (SOMEONE DID IT WOO) 12 > Massive spawns separate from normal spawns. Imagine a horde of 20 ferals or super mutant hounds. 13 > Skeletons as enemies. Yes. 14 > Get your own Prydwen. Housing mod perhaps? Be able to call down artillery from it etc. 15 > Have a "Settlement report" That would tell you things like what your settlers have obtained from working at the scavengers station (I've tested it and it seems to be 1 raw resource per settler per day) 16 > Adjustable raids on your settlements. Frequency, size, composition, difficulty, etc. 17 > A settlement work station that you can assign a settler to that makes them go out and loot corpses within a certain radius (Perhaps outside of the build boundary as well) 18 > Settlement defense weapon that calls in mortar or satellite strikes (Euclids C-Finder?) automatically 19 > Reworked world scrapping: You tag an item and your settlers come and scrap it (by hammering?) over the course of a few moments. Always bugged me that you just look at something and it vanishes into parts. 20 > A new station that once a settler is assigned to it they begin to scrap EVERYTHING in the settlement. 21 > Dispatch a settler to loot (Like, loot and pillage everything that isn't nailed down to the floor) a dungeon that you've cleared. You would need to have actually cleared it or they may get killed etc 22 > adjustable (FMOD Installer?) bullet impacts. Not the decals but the puffs of smoke that appear when a bullet hits something. I'd like them to be more noticeable as you can easily see the misses during large fights and it would look neat. (SOMEONE DID IT WOO )23 > Corpse grinder for settlements. Basically some place to drag these corpses that tend to pile up. 24 > New map-wide artillery weapon that you would need to provide ammo for. The effects of the artillery would depend on the ammo that's been stored into it's reserves. Mininukes, Missiles, Fusion Cores, etc. Grenades make a carpet bombing effect etc. 25 > Settlers actually consume food instead of it magically vanishing. This would entail the creation of a shelf that auto stocked itself with food produced. Settlers would come by and take the food and eat it. 26 > Setting something to be built no longer instantly builds it but instead adds it to a queue. Settlers would come over and do the hammer animation on it until it's built. (SOMEONE DID IT WOO) 27 >Power Armor works like actual armor. Each piece has an individual armor rating and bounces rounds lower than it's rating. Like how real world armoring on tanks works minus angling. Explosive would be fairly strong against it. (SOMEONE DID IT WOO) 28 > Smallarms fire against power armor ricochets with a sound effect. 29 > Call in a Vertibird with your pipboy (Not too many menus, perhaps something favoritable) The grenades are just kinda "eh..." Should be reusable. 30 > Settler wants: Settlers ask for materials like leather or things like combat knives. (BETHSOFT DID IT WOO)31 > A buildable settlement device that you place stuff into and it slowly breaks it down into it's base components. This is more realistic than it happening instantly. 32 > Stockable shelves! activate the shelf to place ammo etc into it and it stacks itself on the shelf! 33 > A "Manufacturing" catagory device that when activated sucks all of the junk out of your inventory into it's inventory that can then feed a conveyor belt. This would save alot of clicking. Edited November 23, 2016 by Acendant
Fenryr3001
1. There is a mod that already does that with a pack-brahmin,so it shouldn't too hard to make it for Followers as well (because of the dialogue wheel,I think it may have to be done with an seperate item) 2. Should be possible. 3. Probably won't happen.Never played Willow (Only used Russell and Bad Mothaf*#@a),but I don't think anyone would want to redo the entire mod. 4. Don't know what you mean exactly.Do you mean a new questline?Probably won't happen.I have no experience on WH40K,so I don't know what you mean with purge. 5. Not possible due to engine limiations. 6. Could be made by using a new mesh for the Tesla Arc. 7. Don't know.Scavenger Stations arleady kinda do that. 8. Don't know what you mean.Do you mean putting a Vertibird in your Settlement that transports you between Settlements?Should be possible, although unlikely to be made. 9. That would take ages to do,and probably won't even work that well. 10. Should work. 11. Won't work. 12. That will likely happen. 13. Would take way too much work to do.You'd have to make an entirely new creature. 14. Possible.Actually likely to be made. Those are just my thoughts on your suggestions. Acendant
Why wouldn't #11 and #13 work? It should be a simple list edit for #11 and #13 can be done easily, unless I'm missing something. There were creature mods for FO:NV and Skyrim etc.
Fenryr3001
#11 would be very complicated to add. #13 CAN happen, but take a lot of work. They'd either be humans looking like skeletons (you'd have to create the skeleton mesh itself first) or ghouls, which would be a better fit combat wise, but then they wouldn't look like human skeletons. Also, 15. Could happen if you can look it up in a buildable terminal. 16. is actually halfway made.
Jeffman12
As far as I know 2 and 8 already exist in the same mod(http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10157/?). 3. If the original creator gets enough support for it and/or is asked by another modder to revamp it, I'd say it's very likely to happen given how popular the mod was. 4. Happened in Skyrim, don't see why it wouldn't here. 9? Nonsense. Did you know entire swaths of code from Skyrim still exist in FO4's engine? I bet you didn't know you had a hidden, functional, mana meter. 11 would just need an unassigned keystroke on the PA menu, although configuring it to be perfect for the end user's desires all the time might be a nightmare. 13 is the sort of thing that just kinda happens sooner or later, albeit not until the creation kit is out. 15 Probably simpler than that even, but I like the idea of using a terminal. Fenryr3001
The crossbows are normal rifles that just use crossbow meshes.Bow and Arrow would be an entirely new weapon type. And just because one part of Skyrim made it to Fallout doesn't mean that every part did.NV and FO3 basically used the Oblivion engine, and Bows weren't just hidden in there (to my knowledge).Only one mod came out that added bows to FO3,and it looks like that one ported over stuff from Oblivion, which is illegal. Just because you can't do it/don't want to doesn't mean someone else can't or won't. The reasons request/suggestion sections exist is to gauge interest in ideas and give otherwise unoccupied modders something to look to for ideas. Fenryr3001
But it's very unlikely to happen. It's just way too big of a request to happen, and someone with the skills necessary would probably be working on it already.Just look at spears and Skyrim;People have been wanting Spears since the games release, but the only mod that didn't just make two-handed swords looking like a spear, but adding an entirely new weapon type only came out years after release.
