Inaccessable caves and tombs

Has anybody here ever done a random tomb or cave then later gone back only to find that the game stops responding even when you are about to enter for the first time (Kudanat cave played, Andrethi Tomb first time)? Four times this has happened to me with completely different set of mods so I don't know if it mod related and were added during game. The only consistent mod in all these is Better Heads, Bodies, Clothes.

I've been in every cave in the game (I think) and it's never happened to me. I have those same mods.

Interesting- I'm curious to see more responses. Tomorrow I'll check for sure and if I haven't visited the location you mentioned I will and post what happens.

It had occurred to me that I also use MCA, COV, NPC Comand. I had a big battle in Kudanat but, I had yet to enter the tomb. I also had a freeze at Raviro tomb. I wonder if it has to do with NPCs and what they are wearing.

I hadn't played in a while so I forgot that I had so many mods running.

I re-entered both Kudanat Cave and Andrethi Ancestral Tomb with no problems. The only thing I can come up with is that I cheated with the COC console command to get there, so you don't actually enter- you appear already just inside the entrance. Have you tried doing that?

I have 103 mods, the ones that i listed were the the only ones consistent over eight months without which I would play this game. I had only four previous incounters with 'Morrowind not responding' at door thresh holds during that time. I shall try this COC

Wow! Do you mind my asking- what are your favorite mods? After I finished the game, I went on to Oblivion. However, I would love to play through Morrowind again more heavily modded. Do you have some highly recommended mods for me to try?

PS: I currently have 212 mods running--it's a chore keeping it down below the limit. :D

You will need MWSE, Level List Merger, Escog [cleaning], mlox, reorder mod, just copy-paste all to Morrowind folder.

I don't know how to make COC work. It is now worse, Maar Gan to Falasmaryon Stronghold is no longer accessable. It never fails, always two week into the game, first caves and tombs become unaccessable then entire cells. How to you fix this game corruption? I have started to this stinking game thirtynine times and have never been able to even make it to the Puzzle Box quest without random corruption across the map, even with very little mods. Can't someone ANYONE invent a patch or tool that seeks out fix these corruptions that kills the game?

 

I could start again but whats the point.

First thanks for your mod list.

To do COC just hit tilde key. ~ then type COC Kudanat. If its a tomb, type COC "andrethi ancestral tomb" For caves, type just the name. Tombs have to have the words "Ancestral Tomb" after the name. Anything more than one word must be in quotes. After typing the command, hit enter and you should appear just inside the door.

Hope this makes sense. I'm typing on my phone and can't look back to check cave/tomb names.
