Melee "windup" idea...

Just a thought on the melee speed thing, I'd like to see it based on how long you hold the key / mouse button, and have proportionately more damage applied. So tap the button and you get a quick hit, hold and release you get a hard hit.

 

This would allow every speed of weapon (fast, medium etc.) to have a speed range instead of a fixed speed, which I think would fix a lot of the problems commonly mentioned. I think the stagger chance could also work with this concept.

 

Just wanted to put that in, because melee sucks so badly atm.
