M48A5
@shinino, You really need to start reading the mod description page before you download and install a mod. From the Crimson Caravan mod page, fourth line, first bullet point: * This mod includes Arefu Expanded v1.7d.
shinino
*facepalm* Thank you for pointing that out. I started on Arefu Expanded and it said, 'click here for the sequel', and I didn't look after that. Easily fixed with MO tho, I just uninstall Arefu Expanded :)
Purr4me
saved games should be showing up in mo? Java, that needs it's first target to be the games data folder or it will set the wrong path. the only way to fool that app is to force it to cough up a message window. copy the app to the desk top and run it, if it can't find the games plugins default, not the mods, then just for a few moments you 2 stage it's setup...you looking for the game data folder when it asks......to get that hing to even ask, you change the game name by adding 1 letter to the beginning of the main game folder. launch the app...an error will pop up, you go to the game data folder that has been renamed and set it....now...the app sees what we want, and what we want is wrong "on purpose".......rename the games folder back to it's original folder. got all that? you understand what we are doing here with it? we are tricking it.----------------stage 2: now in mo, assign the app /run it...now it will again ask where the data folder is becasue we just changed it again and it can't find the data folder...now this time it will be set up in mo correctly..once set, close mo and reopen it, run the app, it should now see all the plugins. the Utility is system wide, just like the geck and it has no boundlessness the geck does. shinino
Thanks again. I got those fixed, have a few more load orders to play with -- checking for conflicts too.
shinino
Okay, just in case anyone is watching, the issue with MO not seeing my saves affects actually playing the game -- basically, if I run FOSE, FAllout 3, or FAllout 3 Full Screen from the FO3 folder, the saves are found, but no mods are. If I run any of these from MO, they're not, but the mods load. This tells me that MO is looking somewhere OTHER than c:\users\(username)\documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves for its save information. shinino
And I figured it out -- the saves hadn't been transferred to my profile in MO yet. Fixed that. Now to figure out how to do a merged patch, because FO3Edit is looking in my Fallout 3 data folder, not where MO is pointing.
shinino
Okay, so I mostly have everything working right now. But the M61 Frag Grenade from fallout.esm is not loading the mesh properly. I went into FO3Edit and found out that the only change is from "20th Century Weapons -Plus- Reborn FWE-WMK-Calibr14_V1_70RC_18668.esp". I found that this mod didn't actually include the texture that it was looking for, so I changed it to use the same model that the main game and FWE both used, which is "Weapons\1handGrenadeThrow\GrenadeFrag.NIF". This didn't fix the issue, so I'm trying to figure out where it's at, and am plugging away right now. If anyone has an idea, it'd be much appreciated. The one thing I did notice is that in-game, it's showing references of 00079331 - 00004330, while in FO3Edit the FormID is PROJ:000043F9 -- I wonder if this is the issue.
